  • thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and skills!! i look forward to learning loads more from you :0)

  • @Krowe2020 Hi and welcome to my channel. If you have questions I answer them as soon as I'm able. I think yo will find Blender useful although at times a bit "Boisterous" you'll soon know what I mean by that.

  • How do you zoom with out a mouse wheel?

  • @xITSDUCKYx plus and minus on the num pad (you know to the right on the keyboard)and if you don't have a num pad because you are on a laptop and don't want to purchase a separate keyboard. In that case go to user preferences and under the input tab check the box that says Emulate Numpad then the plus + key and minus - key on the alphanumreric keypad will zoom in an out, and the number keys control the different views.

  • @A1Sirius Thank you so much. I really like that you actually answer questions. :)

  • @xITSDUCKYx as long as I have the time, answering questions is fun. I like feedback that helps me understand what works. Think about checking out the Rewards and recognitions video in the playlist by the same name.

  • @xITSDUCKYx good question ~ i would like to know that too. i tried the + and - keys but no luck and other "usual suspects" .... anyone? ty!

  • this was really helpfull thankyou.

im going to watch the next episode too :D

  • @mort095f Thank you.

  • fantasticaly helpfull thank you :)

  • @ilovesr25 Tank you ! I hope the remainder of the Absolute Beginners Blender 3D Tutorials series will be equally helpful. One viewer felt that it would have taken him 10 times more time to read the manual to learn the equvialent of the 21 tutorials. Go forth and "Inflixi tergo"

  • Hmm guess I'm lucky I got blender 2.58 for free and already downloaded on my comp then :)

  • @GothSaidWhat The current release of blender is 2.61 which of course also is free and available on the Blender web site for download. All of the tutorials in the Absolute Beginners Blender tutorial playlist work for both version 2.5x and 2.6x of Blender. I hope you will find Blender useful in your artistic expression.

  • you are frome sweden

  • @sotacharlotte That is correct.

  • I can only move my guy in 3 Directions, how do I move in ALL 8? left, right, up, down, and diagonal ? for 2.6, thanks

  • @MrScottKramer Hi, I think that if you view the Absolute Beginners Blender Tutorials #2 - #8 you will have a much better understanding of how to use Blender. If you go to my channel A1Sirius there is the Absolute Beginners Blender Tutorials playlist that is the best advice I can give you.

  • is there a way to upload sprites for blender 2.6? I wont to get a good looking 3d dragonball z sprites. thanks for the video.

  • @MrScottKramer If you are new to Blender there is some learning to do before you can use image files as textures because that is what you would have to do. Also depending on what kind of sprite you are thinking of. Sprites are two dimensional images and there are severla ways to apply 2D images to 3D objects in Blender. Much the same way you apply a decal to a surface. As I said first you need to learn several things about Blender your you will just get frustrated trying.

  • Nice but it would better if you could talk louder and be more excited

  • @krash1046 I think that the #1A version of this tutorial is somewhat louder. Some like it enthusiastic some like it calm. If you view all 21 tutorials in the Absolute beginners series you will learn A) how to use blender and B) realize that voiceover also takes practice.

  • aww man.i want a filming toaster:(

  • Thanks for the info in your author notes about how to toggle the console window. I really hate closing that thing accidentally.

  • @falariem Yes It's the ultimate Gotcha. Also remember to make a habit of saving your .blend file by pressing F2 (or save as) and the + key to increment your file name and then enter. That way the .blend file is saved like this.

"filename" and then a number .blend so if you file is named housemodel.blend there will be a new file by the name of housemodel1.blend and if you do it again there will be a file with the name housemodel2.blend and son on. So you will end up with a series of files.

  • @A1Sirius Fortunately, I caught onto that one early on. It's my favorite feature on the file management side of Blender. It seems you can never have too many undo's when you screw something up, and having auto backups of your work is even better.

  • @falariem The file management side of 3D modeling/animation IS surprisingly important isn't it. All the best to you.

  • Liked and Subscribed thanks for making your videos!

  • @Kikode2005 Thank you for the trinity of YouTube (like, comment, subscribe) much appreciated. All the best.

  • the volume is very low...

  • @blent3342 Try the Absolute Beginners Blender 3D #1A it is a more recent recording with louder voice. Thank you for commenting.

  • this is helpful thanks for posting

  • @ibetuamillionrainbow Thak you for commenting. There are 21 tutorials in the Absolute Beginners series, which are easiets to understand if viewed and worked through in sequence from 1 to 21 in your own time

of course. I look forward to hearing from you again.

  • lol, press 9 while the video is playing for him to say sup to you, lol. btw grate vid

  • i subbed to your channel. i watched 3 tut´s right now and i find them very helpfull. thanks for explaining that program. greetz from germany

  • @Easy1985tm Thank you! I hope you will find the other tutorials equally useful. Thank you for subscribing. Haben sie bitte ein gutes tag. (that is about as far as my german language skills will go including misspellings, incorrect grammar and all that good stuff )

  • This tutorial was helpful, thank you, and i will be watching many more!

  • @THKDomin8r Thank you ! I hope you will enjoy learning to use Blender.

  • Thank you starting out at square one! This is very helpful for THIS absolut beginner!

  • @kedrel Thank you for commenting. My hope in creating these tutorials from #1 to 14.4 is to help the absolute beginner to get a start that will save many hours in getting familiarized with Blender. The ide'a is that the beginner can learn Blender in small portions. IF you choose to follow these tutorials can you please leave a comment further down the line to tell me how it went. Again thank you for commenting.

  • Very basic but good start thanks

  • @LCKLooney Thanks for commenting, the Absolute Beginners Blender 3D Tutorials are ment for individuals that have no or almost no previous knowledge of Blender 3D, or 3D - modelling or animation in general. They can also be useful for someone used to Blender 2.4X and who wants to get a good start in blender 2.5X. Again thank you for viewing.

  • Thanks for this, looking forward to the rest as this is super basic (but it's good to start with basic...)

  • @jonofwrath Thank you, I hope you will endure the somewhat tedious nature of these tutorials especially #1 through #7. However I believe that if you learn the basics from the beginning you will save some time later.

  • The website doesn't seem to have the 2.56a version anymore. Does it make a difference between 2.56 and 2.5? I had an older version before, and it wasn't close to the same as the ones I'm seeing elsewhere on youtube.

  • @TheMojoToTheAce The version today April 25 2011 is 2.57a and the way to install it is the same the difference is that in 2.57 the consol window does not show after the application has been started. To show the console window you need to choose help in the top menu and toggle console window. There are other differences to 2.56b but I will not touch on them in regards to this tutorila.

  • @A1Sirius Ah, I see. Thank you for your help :)

  • thanks for this tutorial as well as your others related to Blender!

  • @narosis Thank you for your feedback, I wish you the best of fortune, in learning to use Blender, and in life.

  • YOUR PC IS SWEDISH!!!!!!!!

    LOL its true!!!

  • @tommie55555 It has Windows 7 Professional in Swedish installed, I expected that had to be noticed, good catch. Nice dominoes by the way.

  • thanks for the tutorial. very helpful.

  • @AKILLEZ83 Thank you for commenting. You seem to have an intrest in hardware. As you learn more about 3D modelling and animation you will eventually need to render the scene you create. The blender render engine can be set to use a fixed number of threads or left to auto detect the number of available threads. Auto detect can use 100% of all cores on the cpu. 3D rendering can be quite the challenge for a computer system.

Because of this I thought that I should mention that when you

  • showing user prefs was a good idea.

  • @saxtaro Thank you for your feedback, I thought showing the user preferences would save some time. Both if you are completely new to Blender or if you have used 2.4x before.

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! so MUCH! These are tutorial series for beginners I was waiting!

Thank you for doing and sharing them!

    Very helpful and interesting!

I hope you'll keep doing tutorials for blender ;)

  • @infochanel1987 Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you find these tutorials useful. Depending on my available time I will create a couple on simple animation and a couple on materials.
