  • Thanks for posting this tutorial. It taught me plenty of new workouts to try to get to the planche. You don't have to be a professional to teach. It actually seems better because you're passing ideas to novices on an "intermediate" level, so you understand how and why we'd have a difficult time doing this. Keep posting videos.

    And @ 6:21 ...That sound like it hurt. A lot.

  • @Randomario .....thee are no black belts in Kung Fu friend... that is a Korean/Japanese designation. Kung Fu has black Sash, calling BS on you for not knowing this if you WERE a black sash in a kung fu style.

    I do Shaolin Quan Fa, in the traditonal way. Even in japanes martial arts, belts are an modern invention.

    in real kung fu, there is just a family-grade-system. students, masterfather, grandmaster, etc.

    in modern wushu, there are sashes, but no belts...

    and what do you even mean with, you did kung fu? kung fu is not even a specific style? how is your style called?

    why dont you just start kung fu in real life, and not just online ;-)

  • what is a good exercise that focuses on the lower back that is not any variation of deadlift because I already do those.

  • Awesome video. I see a lot of really strong guys doing these moves in power yoga classes. There you just use the floor or wall, no other props, you'd love it. It's very cool. Maybe ashtanga yoga is an even closer fit.

  • If I train this everyday about 3 time, how long will it take to get to your level? I go to the gym, but I do a little gymnastics at home such as keeping your feet of the ground. Handstand(supported by a wall cause I can't maintain balance yet) pushups for the deltoids and stuff like that. Anyway, how old are you kid?

    You can't just do the planche, you need to work on your progression more. Holding yourself in static position until you feel comfortable, and then go to the next level, more difficult.

    Frog stand for 60 sec - Tuck planche for 60 sec - Straddle planche 60sec ....
