On a side note, my card captures at 720x480, and the height of YouTube's HD window is 480 according to my screenshotting skills, so I'm hoping to get something that looks just like the captured video, minus the interlacing.

OK, differences in the video lagging are understandable because everybody has different grades of computers.

But it is interesting how opinions on the actual quality differ from person to person. Some like it, some don't. To me, it honestly didn't look much different than high quality. It basically looked like a bigger version of it without any extra detail added. (Which makes perfect sense.)

Oh well though. Upscaling to HD for Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a no-go anyway.

If you want really high quality video playback, you could try uploading the videos to Viddler as well as Youtube. Not only does Viddler have a higher base quality, but people can download the source video file at full frame rate, resolution, and quality. you can still upload to Youtube at whatever quality that works.

on top of that it still looks kinda pixelated ..... i forget how i described it in my comment on your other 30fps vid, but the frozen-frame image quality is still not as round as it would be on say, a regular TV. im not sure if this is unchangeable or what u can do, but good luck!

it's jerkier than the usual high-quality videos, even with an nvidia 8600m gt gpu. i think it has something to do with the flash player because HD videos in .wmv play smooth on my old PC.

try something with simpler colors or a less jerky camera in HD. brawl doesn't seem to do all too well.

Alright, well, it looks like high definition is no good as so many people are having trouble playing it. It's not the video either, as I was able to play it perfectly on a university computer today.

So it looks like my Brawl History videos will stay in standard definition. That's OK though, Wii games aren't supposed to be upscaled, so standard should be just fine.

yup, everyone has the same problem as me: it's laggy. i guess most of our computers are just cant handle HD.

for some who dont know yet, you can still add &fmt=18 at the end of the url and it will play in high quality instead of HD

Yeah I think Gametrailers is more optimized for HD. Youtube just started doing this so they have a long way to go. I have 9800m GS graphics card and it still lags on here and only here.

I watched it in HD without the lagging (I managed to find some setting in Vista hmm).

Confirmed that it is clean minus the border on the left and tiny border on the bottom. I'm not sure which resolution you capture at, but definitely one where the width X2 is less than 1260.

The deinterlace in an upscaled video give to it like an estrange sand or noise effect.

Your regular videos look quite better and cleaner than this.
