  • This is awesome!

  • Great video! Good music also ^^

  • A very good video. I liked the combination of well-chosen music of the decade to go with the quality movie posters. It was well blended, and I agree that the ending was totally fitting. Great job!

  • Superb Vid dude, great ending and music.

  • where did u get this music??? I need to know a good site for getting downloadable music.

  • I actually had all of the music in my own itunes library. I don't really know of any good sites for downloadable music other than itunes.

  • good

  • for the song in the 1930s montage, don't mean a thing(if you aint got that swing), who sings that version? and could you please tell me the song for the 1940s montage?

  • Beautiful! :)

  • to Finelight12: It happens because Wings is the movie that started the magic... Nut i prefer Cannes , not Oscar , all of them stupid dumbasses

  • Loved it, well thought out music and nice effects. Just why was Wings at the end with the two oscars on both sides?

  • Absolutely superb. I think this is the first You Tube video I've ever given five stars. The music was perfect and what a cool final 45 seconds.

  • Thank you very much for your comments. I wish I had time to update it to include "The Departed". It was a lot of fun making it!

  • Great! Next Best Actors! Yay!

  • needs to be updated, great job though.who do you think will in the future

  • LOved it!! A best actress video would be nice? & actor and director. Keep them coming...

  • Nicely done! And the music accompanying is fine.

  • It's a very good video... but, what about the best directors? Make a new video, please.

  • and now the departed

  • Te ha salido un vídeo instructivo y muy entretenido. ¡Enhorabuena!

  • Excellent!!! Wow! this should be play at the oscars. But i think the 40's is kind of a little dizzy.

  • the 40's were cool.. better than the crap out today

  • nice one, try doing up to date as in The Departed. also try doing best director and actor

  • i thought that was great!!

  • SO GOOD add brokeback and departed

  • Or add Crash and The Departed, because Crash won the Oscar.

  • It was going to be either Pulp or Shawshank man... Forest stole it!!

  • Excellant, can you do one for oscar winning songs too ?

  • not a single Stanley Kubrick film. that's really sad. even sadder is forrest gump winning over pulp fiction and the shawshank redeption.

  • muy bueno !

  • where is taxi driver?

  • goodfellas taxi driver raging bull and shawshank all got robbed

  • biggest robbery in oscar history - pulp fiction getting robbed blind. the best picture not to win best picture, hands down.

  • graet job, but must agree---forest gump ugh.

  • That was really good....I applaud you!

  • Check out my videos... Thanks!

  • You'll have to add The Departed now =P

  • hey i love it MY GRANDFATHER WON AN OSCAR INFACT MY BROTHER WON 9 OSCARS UP TILL NOW AND WE ARE VERY PROUD OF HIM

  • Also, congrats on making IMDb's main page (that's how I found this link, and I imagine many others as well).

  • I would have liked it better if the transitions were more consistent. The "flipping" effects of the '30s, and even the "thrusting" effects of the '90s, work well, but for the ones where the posters are bouncing around (I'm thinking '50s and '60s), some of the images are so askew I can't even make them out. It's a good idea, but it's also a simple one. Less is more.

  • Could you possibly list the scores you used? I recognized Rich Man's Frug and The Return of the King, but some of the others were so familiar and I couldn't place them! Thanks!

  • ugh, forrest gump

  • You forgot Million Dollar Baby!!

  • Look closely before you post a comment. It's in there.

  • Very well done! I like!

  • I liked it.

It would have been better if you did clips from the movie though.

I liked the music and the part at the end when all the posters are showing and then you have the poster for Wings between the two statues.

    Loved it...4 stars!

  • Digne d'être présenté durant la 80e cérémonie des Oscars. C'est superbe!

  • amazing video, thanks ;D

  • what's the song that's playing during the 30's??

  • What this fails to show is the huge amount of amazing films that were robbed. Apocalypse Now, Pulp Fiction, Saving Private Ryan, a bunch of Stanley Kubrick's movies Dr. Strangelove, 2001: Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange), and a bunch of Martin Scorsese's movies (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas).

  • It's "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)." I can't remember who does that version, but it's on the Swing Kids soundtrack.

  • I like this a lot. Great Job. What was the song in the 90's section though it totally sounds familiar! :P

  • It's from the Forrest Gump score by Alan Silvestri.

  • Ah, that's what it was! One of my favourite scores.

    Thanks :)

  • Does anyone know the name of the song from the sixties section?

  • It's from Sweet Charity and called "Rich Man's Frug"

  • thanks a lot for sharing!! very nicely done!!!

  • awesome! thanks i loved it

  • Very well done! Thanks!!!

  • Kramer vs Kramer won over Apocalypse Now. What a farce.

  • Very entertaining. I had forgotten how many bad to mediocre films won best picture. Oliver? What were they thinking?

  • I was thinking the same thing - the 60's were actually just about spot on - except for Oliver winning over 2001...

  • Good stuff; excellent choice of music!

  • Well intentioned and much appreciated, but why not go all out and give everyone a taste of these movies; maybe pivitol scenes from each, i know it would be long but it would be very cool.

  • Well that thought has definitely planted itself in my mind and it will take some time but it is in the works. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

  • Very Nice tribute to the Best Picture winners!

  • thanks for posting! It was very entertaining!

  • Excellent!

  • awesome!!!!

  • Awesome video. I love it.

  • Awsome video, I really enjoy it. great job.

  • Thanks everyone for the great comments. Let's remember that this video was created as a PRESENTATION of best pictures, not to invoke jabs about what movies should and shouldn't have one. That's another issue all together.

  • This is smart and entertaining!

  • that was awesome. nice work

  • This is great! I never realized that the Oscars were so old or that so many great films made the list. Good Job!

  • wow...love it

  • Good job, congratulations. Wonderfull video.

  • That was a great video. The music made it interesting. Good job. I agree I would like to see clips, too. That would be even more interesting.

  • wow how thrilling 80 movie posters can be!

congratulation for this - I've enjoyed it very much!

  • I really liked this. Very enjoyable film!

  • Great work!

    I liked this.

  • God, going through that montage I realized about 20+ of those films shouldn't even be up there... how sad for the Academy

  • It is quite original. I suppose you spent a lot of time gathering data. You are a very creative person, thanks for sharing!

  • Wonderful video! It looks very good.

  • This will really help me remember them better. Very well done--Thanks!

  • Excellent job!

  • What can i say? Great video! Obviously you're video has more effects and music editing and all that. I loved the music was diferent in every decade representing that time. Good work! Now, what i would like to see is a video like this but with scenes (not pictures) from the movies, that would be a great montage!
