I have to say, after watching this video I have a new respect for the heart that Tom puts into his acting, even for the villains *cough* Loki *cough* that he plays. He really does got that extra mile to make his characters and his performances credible.

P.S. Though he does look good with the black, slicked back hair of Loki, God I just love his natural hair. I have a weakness for blondes in general anyway so I am smitten with him in this video. He's so wonderfully intelligent and genuine.

He has done some plays on the radio too, Dracula and stuffs, check them. There are some scenes that're gonna make you LITERALLY melt down!! Plus the voice of course ;)

In nordic mythology, Loki was in the beginning mostly a friend of Valhalla/Asgard, then he was a great inspiration of creativity and resourcefulness for them. Later, after he went into exile (cause of Baldurs death) he resided with giants and other bad creatures, he became a bringer of chaos.

This reminds us of the dark side lurking within people who have the gift of creativity, he who is the maker can easily become the destroyer!

That's actually what was running through my mind when Tom started talking about the possibility in all humans of being both ultimately good and ultimately evil. I feel like Loki's very story really embodies exactly that duplicity: Loki, who was the greatest maker, eventually turns into this nightmarish destroyer. After watching this, I'm even more convinced that Kenneth Branagh really could not have picked a better actor to portray Loki.

Just heard, Tom Hiddleston is Loki in the movie Thor. I hope he understands, just how complicated a character Loki really is. Personally I think he can do a good job, judging by the fact that he seems to think about and care for different layers of his characters.
