  • The witch looked oddly similar to Katy perry in ET...

  • Maybe it's just me because I have ear buds on, but around 4:59 I can hear someone's stomach.

  • Beverly D;Angelo and her tounge!

  • That one scene with the double kiss, him talking and her saying "what kept you?", outdid the disney one!!!!! OMG How perfect was that scene?!

  • @AmethystEyes I know that scene was great! It definetely outdid the disney one though I like that one too.

  • OMG o.o i love her, shes so old today but still lovely :3 anyone else see here in the african american version of Cinderella? As the evil step mother D:>

  • Oh i love how he swings his foam axe <3 yeaaaahhh

  • I keep playing 5:15 and up over and over. The kiss is great, but when Christopher Reeve smiles - I swear....

  • @alliecat148 I know what you mean.

  • God Chris Reeve was hot.

  • @ccipollini1984 Yes, he is.

  • Evil fairy scared the hell out of me when I was a kid....

  • @TsarIvanIV Me too!

  • @TsarIvanIV totally agree, i had to fast forward it.

  • that's one big acts

  • ok anyone else finding themselves singing the songs from the disney version of sleeping beauty when you hear the music in the back round

  • haha, the king and queen wake up and he goes hi :)

  • what kept you?... best line she could have ever said.

  • @sweeney60 He could have said "Well, I wasn't born yet!"

  • @jdawnvoge1982 you know what i mean

  • @sweeney60 Yeah, it was cute how she said it.

  • @jdawnvoge1982 gotta love bernadette peters, it was such a treat to see her in this

  • @sweeney60 And I was joking on my I wasn't born yet comment. She and Chris actually did look sweet together. Bernadette is sooo lucky she got to kiss superman!

  • @jdawnvoge1982 totally, it astounds me the stars that did this, how shelly duval accomplished this i will never know. I just watched hansel and gretel last night with Joan Collins as the witch.. its just incredible

  • 5:48.............you'd think after 100 years, that cake would be rotten XDD

  • 5:50 was that Borat?

  • What about the parents? They wake up suddenly to find their 16 year old daughter making out with Superman.

    "hi..."

  • @lasse4eva I think she was supposed to be 20 because Hebane said she had been waiting for 20 years. It would be strange to find your daughter making out with superman but I bet that's every woman's dream!

  • @jdawnvoge1982

    yesssssss, indeed it would.

  • This scared the shit out of me when I was a kid !!

  • hi xDDD

  • Why don't they just have a dragon in the scene just like the storybook described?

  • @Sarah276602 In some cases dragons were believed to be dimensional and could have a form of humanoid-they were rare in the old stories-but still occurred...

  • @Sarah276602 Actually, the original story didn't have a dragon. Just carnivourous thickets. Which I personally think r creepy by themselves.

  • So, this is basically Superman vs. Maleficent... OH HELL YEAH!!!

  • the prince looks wierd with the axe.Who has a 4 foot long axe?!?!

  • It's interesting how in Annie Bernadette Peters is a villian and here she's the victim.

  • Another moral of the story, always invite people, nobody likes being left out and it makes people angry

  • Now -that's- a prince I'd like to wake me up! *_* Christopher Reeve was a great man, indeed.

  • I loved when the man said don't ever lend out your axe to a prince, Too funny! Then he starts cutting into the tree with a knife! I think this was probably the funniest part to me. I was looking at some of your posts, and if you think this one was good, you've got to see "Three Little Pigs" in my opinion. It's another fairy tale theatre, and my favorite (so far). P,S, You don't have to watch it, but it is funny :)

  • i remember being so terrified by the witch at the end. her voice was so horrid, but i love how her undoing is when she breaks a nail :D

  • I can't help but think about who's poking the dangerous vines at him. hahahaha! The director probably said, "Okay Chris! Imagine you're in a deadly forest filled with razor sharp vines! Action! Cue the thorny sticks! Where are my pokers? I paid just enough to make this scene look realistic!"

I'm still enjoying the wonderful world of Fairy Tale Theater so honestly it doesn't matter! The story still stands true just as the others will for other generations!

  • I think it was amazing! All the charecters were brill! The actors played/acted their parts fantastically! I love the fairies, the bad fair'ys really very good, the king and queen are great, the baby great, good choicees 4 everthing and the princess is lovely and the prince is handsome and charming! A abolutely fantastic, brilliant, amazing, marvellous, magnificent , super, superdooper, supercaliexpadaliosioosious and miraculous version of the sory Sleeping Beauty! Absolutely marvellous one!

  • This is soooooo much better than Beauty and the Beast FTT that I saw. This is the second one I've seen and I'm glad it wasn't creepy like the first one.

  • cool

  • This is by far the creepiest FTT I have yet seen. But I love the prince's monolog before he wakes her! <3

  • Dang... that's the second time I've watched Christopher Reeve give a "magic" kiss to a woman. I'm surprised he didn't give her amnesia! ;)

  • @silverkryptonite705 I think anybody would be jealous of Bernadette Peters getting to kiss Christopher Reeve! (When she's awake of course.)

  • @silverkryptonite705 First Superman now a Prince! Christopher Reeve is a hero in every way!

  • 2:48 the dark Fairy turn into a Mistress of Snakes??

Oh my they're using the music from the Disney version

LOL 'and don't give your axe away to any prince becaues I lost mine'

  • They are probably using music from the original Ballet of Sleeping Beauty. Like at the banquet. Disney used several selections from the ballet too.

  • Oh I see,

    thanks

  • I don't know...befiore they were using music from the ballet Sleeping Beauty.

  • Wow, the evil fairy has.. long... nails...

  • damnit! this scene used to scare me whn i was little n it still scares me now-tho this may b due 2 the fact that i'm watching all alone,at 2 am during the hungry ghost month...

  • And then there was a revolution because the people realized they had been living without a king for the last 100 years and doing fine.

  • They were sleeping too. She did the whole kingdom. So they would be behind the time.

  • @lollipopfop Actually the only one s who fell asleep were those in the castle. In the real story the people in the village are the one who spread the story of the sleeping beauty.

  • I find the fire-breathing giant a bit too smiley to be frightening.

  • i don't see why christopher reeves just doesn't fly over the briars ;)

  • I love the prince...

  • Me Too. R.I.P Christopher Reeve.

  • he's dead? :'(

All the hot guys are either dead or taken; it's just not fair!

  • I used to be scared to death of this scene...it truly looks like something straight out of a nightmare. Its probably one of the scariest things I've ever seen, certainly scarier than a lot of horror movies!!!

  • i'm 12 and this is my first time seeing it.

  • I'm 13. I'm a bit disturbed. . lol. But I love this. Dark Fairy (Faery[sp?]) tales rock!

  • i know what you mean, she was something else. i didn't cry, she freaked me out. I do miss Christopher Reeve. RIP.

  • The witch scared me so much when i watched it when i was only 7. i started crying when i saw it on my TV. i think its a little cool now since I'm older. :)
