  • I've had to unravel many times, but never thought to use a smaller sized needle - or how to rectify twisted stitches. Many thanks for the tips!

    Penny

  • THANK YOU! i was absolutely terrified about unraveling.. but now i see its not so bad.

  • @BarkingShadow

  • @RoseFrancheska13

so glad to know. please keep watching for more tips and look for me on facebook too.

  • If you want to determine if a stitch is twisted on the needle or not, search "How to recognize a backwards knitting stitch" in YouTube and the first video in the search results should be able to help you (channel name: theknitwitch).

Thank you - this video helped.

  • I watched your video last year and learned this method. I love it! But now I'm curious to know what the even-scarier method is. Where is part 3?

  • @knitjunky

It's coming. I just have to many videos on my :to do" list. Part 3 is where you actually CUT into the fabric.

Thanks for writing. Please keep watching and look for me on facebootk too.

  • Thank you so much!

  • @sazji

always glad to save a life. please keep watching and happy knitting.

  • How can you tell by looking at it that it is twisted?

  • @TheSkinman2000

if it;s not lined up correctly, or if it's too tight or if the needle doesn't go in easily or if it's facing the wrong way.

  • I'm pretty new to knitting and this totally saved a scarf I'm working on. I can't believe I pulled it off. (Literally.) Thanks for the demo!

  • great! glad I was able to help. please keep watching.

  • glad I could help. happy knitting!

  • Thanks a lot i learned it by myself but i didnt put it back on smaller neddle... jst knit it same way, thats why it feels different..lol now I know what to next time..thanks a lot..^^

  • I struggle to correctly determine whether a stitch is or is not twisted, do you have any tips on what to look for?

  • Dear Judy, I tend to twist stitches most of the time and I finally learned by YOU how to UNDO it! I was wondering if you would teach us about the combination method of knitting?

    many warm thanks,

    grace in VT

  • I;m not sure what you mean by combination knitting. do you mean double knitting? I plan to do a video on that....at least it's on my list....so keep looking.

    Happy knitting.

  • Interesting about knitting twisted stitches into the back. I just untwist them but taking them off the left needle, and putting them back on the untwisted way.

So can you do it similarly when you unravel to a purl row? Also what if you are knitting a crazy lacey fluffy thing with a ton of yarn overs?! Now way to unravel that!

  • You're right about the crazy fluffy thing with a ton of yarn overs, that's a challange. I don't even want to think about it, but it's a good idea for a new video when I do. Keep looking. All the comments I get inspire me to do new videos. Happy knitting!

  • have you tried it yet? if so, hope it worked out. thanks for the comment.

    Happy knitting!

  • doesnt seem TOO scary

but thanks for showing this to us :)
