  • I actually think this type of thing is HARDER on very long hair, because you have to account for making sure so much of it is pinned (and pinned nicely) or put away in some way, shape or form. She's using her long hair to create volume, which mid-length hair can use ratting to create. Most women in the 30s-40s had short to mid-length hair for the styles of the day, and it was layered specifically for the style they usually sported. I love the way she uses her long hair for volume here, tho.
