  • racing games goes on smooth speed?

  • @aullaralaluna I have never played any racing games on it, but im pretty certain it would run smoothly. Depending on the game and resolution settings i cant see it being too much of a problem ;)

  • @BountyUFC Would you buy any other tablet that replace your EP121? disregarding Samsung Series 7 Slate... Did you see the Acer Iconia 6120? I tought that the Iconia 14" dual view maybe be the best option altough it s a Laptop with tactil functions..

  • @aullaralaluna I havent actually been looking around for any other tablets although im sure there are much better ones out there now. I will check out the one you suggested at the moment i dont have the money to splash out on anything like that, but if i do ill prob check out the next best thing.

  • @aullaralaluna I actually just checked it out it looks awesome! Im going to have to sell some of my stuff to get on that i think. Do you know what the graphics are compared to mine?

  • @BountyUFC sorry, Im a biochemical student in southamerica, gonna buy the EP121 soon, I have an Archos 9`, Im mostly in need to get a huge screen tablet like the 12,1` Asus has, dont matter the performance, but I like racing games above all games

  • Or just but another Wacom digitizer pen that has the side buttons, they work just fine, pretty stupid that Asus commissioned a pen that is identical to their existing one but without the buttons

  • you could do attack move A left click

  • lol

  • What settings are you playing this on?

  • @bountyufc it plays mw?!?! What resolution and settings?

  • Which one better this or acer w500?

  • how could i move with touch screen on world of warcraft just with one tap to an other place i know this : interface > mouse > "click to move" but then you will need the the right click and the left click will not work with this who can help so that i can move with only one touch with touch screen on world of warcraft please help people...

hope to hear from you soon :)

  • @deniz11muis1 There is some software you can download which enables you to custom what touching the screen does. Its called iBuyPower MAGIC software. Its a free download check it out it allows you to pan and drag the screen with your finger as you do with a mouse.

    Hope this helps you out.

  • @BountyUFC okay very very much thank you :) is it for more tablets of ep121 only ?

  • @deniz11muis1 As far as i know its only for PCs. The EP121 functions the same way as a PC its pretty much exactly the same but in tablet form, so im pretty sure it would only be compatable for the eP121

  • @deniz11muis1 u can use a BT keyboard and mouse

  • @brklunk +1

  • ey can u watch this plz ? /watch?v=qxxTtc4XDmc&lc=jR43jyn6SHGbCcnLByTBXjmDoS4gQXKFcD-QZZPbEYQ&feature=inbox <-- does it look good because i want to buy this tablet ( it is a movie with an other tablet with starcraft)

hope to hear from you soon

  • How did fullscreen mode effect the FPS of the game?

  • @Cepacol2 It ran fairly smooth actually. I didnt run it on any other screen size but i imagine it would be the same.

  • @BountyUFC Wonderful, I see. And is there ANY chance you've played League of Legends on it? If you have, how did it run and on what settings? If not, is there any way you could try it? I'd be BEYOND grateful! It's a free download, and that's the game I would play most on it if I am to get this slate - it's probably the biggest deciding factor for me to get it or not. :3

  • @Cepacol2 I havent played it before actually but i found a few vids on here of it. The slate comes with a bluetooth keyboard and the graphics would be very smooth on the slate. If i can find a cheap download ill check it out.

    Cheers.

  • @BountyUFC Yeah there are plenty of people who play it, it's a fairly popular game, but there are no videos of it being played on the slate. It's entirely free so there's no need to worry about cost! :p I would be SOOOOO thankful if you could upload a video of it on various settings on your slate. Subbed/Faved - I really appreciate your responses.

    Thanks!

  • Um. Use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Problem solved.

SC2 interface was never meant for a touchscreen.

  • If you don't want to hold for right click, you can hit the button in the borrow right. It will be a bit quicker. And the tablet doesn't have a graphics card. Of course it will become slow.

  • does wow work?

  • could you try the iBuyPower MAGIC software for multitouch gaming?

  • @TOOHOOAH Thanks for telling me about the software...i was actually unaware that it even existed! When i have the time i will download and install. Im curious myself to how it will turn out ;)

  • @BountyUFC cool, let me know how it works :D

  • Also, you can't change the screen resolution because you are running StarCraft II in "Windowed (fullscreen)" mode. Change it to "Fullscreen" and you should be able to alter the resolution, possibly improving FPS at the cost of a non-native resolution.

  • @KiyoshiAphelion I was wondering why that was, thanks for the info ')

  • Don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but you can set one of the pen buttons to be right-click. Just hold down that button and tap and it will right-click.

Or just hook up a keyboard and mouse.

  • @KiyoshiAphelion Ive heard about it but i never really thought much about it, ill try setting it up. Cheers

  • Awesome! It can run the actual SC2 and not some cheap clone of it!!

  • My opinion has changed a bit since i made this review, before i was comparing it to a high end PC, for a tab it is pretty amazing. I would for sure recommend it. It is super fast and works the same way as any PC. The battery life is actually surprisingly good for how powerful and small it is. What made me buy it was the fact it has USB ports and is capable of running any windows program, my only complaint is HD memory but an external HD xolves that issue.

  • Dude I actually don't understand why you are complaining about the performance of this tab. I mean, not that im used to anything special (My pc has a hard time running even the most basic games) But this is quite amzing. There are not much pc"s that can handle SC2, let alone tabs. By the way , Im hoping to get one too, saving money for it now. Would you reccomend it to me? I'll probably be using it for like schoolwork, not much gaming anyway

  • Yeah, reading some other comments, I was messing with one of these today, and found that touching with two fingers is a much easier way to right click. What memory options did you choose for yours? Larger? Smaller?

  • @Sol0tone I uninstalled it before i gave the 2 finger touching a go, wish i knew about it when i had it running on there. I got the larger one the other 32GB only comes with 2G RAM whereas the 64GB has 4G RAM. Well worth the price difference. Thanks for posting.

  • my god. why would u even bother playing without a keyboard and right click

  • Why you got this tablet to play games is a mystery. I'm getting it to take notes in lectures.

  • @jords1225r lol well i will tell you so its no mystery anymore. Me and my fiancee own several businesses and im starting to branch off a bit to tablets PCs and gaming. Running high powered games helps me to understand the running power of them better as well as other people who want to know more about them. If all your going to be using it for is taking notes in lectures i suggest you get a smaller cheaper tablet as the battery life on it isnt great and its fairly big and heavy. Thanks.

  • @BountyUFC The main feature I want is the wacom digitizer input, which the cheaper/alternative tablets don't have. I don't like typing even on a physical keyboard when I have to take notes because you can't draw arrows, maths symbols etc.

  • @jords1225r That is true, most tablets dont have a stylus, the Asus one is very nice as it recognizes cursive handwriting as txt which is very convenient

  • @BountyUFC Should i buy this when it comes out ( in the netherlands ) cuz i am kinda a gamer and all the other tablets ( with windows 7) suck balls and this one pwns can i play like word of warcraft and modern warfare 2 in good settings ( not max :P)

    Thank you

  • @deniz11muis1 I actually saw a vid of a guy playing modern warfare 2 and it actually played very well. He brought the resolution down a bit but it seemed very smooth. One big drawback though is the memory. Mine is the 64GB version but half of it is taken up by windows so really it is only 32GB of free memory.

If you can afford it o would recommend it, i still havent had any problems with it and it is VERY fast and powerful. If you have any questions please ask.

    Thanks.

  • Micro is non existent on the slate!

  • loads surprizingly quick? IT'S GOT A SOLID STATE!

  • Thanks for the video. This answered a lot of questions I had about the EP121's gaming capabilities. I thought I would only be able to play 10+ year old games, so it's awesome to know it can play more recent games, albeit on low settings.

  • not sure if it works with starcraft 2 but i was playing around with diablo 2 and found its easier to right click if you tap a second finger on the screen while the first is still touching. rather than holding for the couple seconds

  • @pulseMOD441 Oh really? ill try that out, thanks for the tip.

  • @BountyUFC

    so does that work ?

  • @pulseMOD441 I've read there is a pen that work/fits in the holder and it has a pen-button that allows for right clicks without holding down

  • @simplerdayz yea ive seen the options in the control panel at least... i just prefer to stay out of box for now :p

  • How do you get games? Download? Or is there a disk drive?

  • @ThatGreenPickle With Starcraft you dont need the disc to play after its installed so all you need is an external dvd drive which is what i have. I have downloaded games for it as well without a hitch. Even running games with the DVD drive is great its very fast and very small. I bought it primarily for gaming and entertainment (movies music and stuff) and its great.

  • Hi Bounty, thanks for the video. Could you tell me how much battery time shows the windows icon at full charge, with wifi and bluetooth off and screen brightness at about 50%? Thank you.

  • @clipfilmix Sure, ill charge it up tonight and ill check it out tomorrow and let you know. It is actually pretty good considering, i was able to watch a full movie on it and surf the web before realizing it was unplugged by that time it was down to 20 something %.

  • How much APM can you get on this puppy (using stylus)? ;)

  • @bluebatray I havent played it at all online, i installed it just to see how it ran, i uninstalled it straight after. I wouldnt recommend it as it isnt powerful enough to run it smoothly and the pen was very awkward. Other games such as tiberium sun run beautifully on it.

  • Thanks or the video :D

I have to say, it looks pretty decent for something so thin.

Hope you continue making similar videos :)

  • @GeraldTheShoe Thankyou!

  • in terms of gameplay it seems fine

the problem is the control i guess

i dont think id ever play itwith just the pen

id probably use the keyboard hotkeys (so hit a then tap the screen for attack)

u seem very disappointed with the screen. is it just when ur playing the game or overall when using it (remember it wasnt made for starcraft lol)

  • @furythree Using the pen isnt great with starcraft but when i use a mouse it kind of defeats the purpose of playing it on a tablet PC haha

  • @BountyUFC haha i know what u mean

but i bought it because its so much more compact and portable than a laptop

even when u use the keyboard and mouse its more space saving than a laptop unbelievably

i use a 14" laptop as desktop replacement and my desk is just ridden with cooling pads, cables and crap everywhere

  • @furythree I know when i had it on my lap with the keyboard its a lot smaller and easier to use, i got an external DVD drive even then its a lot smaller and nicer than a laptop.
