  • This is a nice ballad off of this album. This whole album was and still is awesome!

  • That's what I call REAL music, unlike the new junk music that doesn't make sense and no talent like the 80's and 90's!! Genesis/Phil Collins rule!!

  • have to have this album...

    love it

  • Love Genesis but this should be on a Phil Collins solo album.

  • I'VE BEEN LOOKIN' FOR THIS SONG FOR YEARS. IT EVOKES SO MANY THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS HAPPY AND SAD. I'VE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH HARDSHIP BUT HAVE OVERCOME IT SO FAR.

    THANKS FOR POSTING

  • @84heroes1

    I agree with you! I can't stand "I Can't Dance".

  • I cant say theres a bad song on this album, started listening to it a couple years ago, beautiful album

  • My main album. Let's just say it's the album that realy reflects my life. Even with the badness in it like in "No son of mine". That's what's my Dad said to me ones and we didn't talk since then. But anyway it's a great piece of art and music. Thanks for uploading it.

  • adoro esta musica ,phill voce ,e um monstro da musica ,de marcello from brasil.

  • love this song... "All the things we say and do....."

  • me gustaria la traduccion en español ...saludos desde PERU

  • Peter was ok and a little freaky, and goofy. Had some good songs on his own, but not a genius like Phil. Sorry Peter, you were good, but no cigar. Gensis didn't really shine until Peter got out of Phil, and Co's way. Now we have masterpieces to listen to anytime we want to. :) Hal2012

  • @harryfassett but they were better with pete in my opinion, I respect your opinion though cus I like the Collins Era

  • I always thought phil sounded more 'american' on this album, more nasal almost on this song

  • Please no fights again between peter and phil because they hat both there time, both were great.

  • Genesis Six Hours Live 1972-1980 2DVD set available at Tommygun Video, please see our channel for link to site, video clips, more info

  • So simple and yet beautiful.

  • Phil Collins is the Master!

  • so good memories...

  • 1 person has never had a time

  • To me, to my ear, to my heart...there's something about this song...this album and Invisible Touch...that just has such a hold on me. When they first were released, and now, all these years later...such an emotional connection. It's timeless, in my life.

  • :) I love this son.....

  • such an under-rated vocalist

  • My dad gave me this Cd when I was 11 years old, he told me: here, son, listen to real good music.....

  • amo, amo, amo essa música!!!!!! perfeita!!!!!

  • As much as I love metal and all it's variants, this album will always remain one of my top favourites.

  • the whole album will grow on you

  • the more you listen to this album , the more it grows on you ! bring back the 90's

  • There was Never a Time that i disliked this band. :)

  • Never will this music be bettered. Thank you Genesis, your all fantastic.

  • ALWAYS loved this song.. Listened to it Over and over again through the years, Was Wondering though what exactly is the song about? I am under the idea that it's about a love that has died out?

  • This song has such sweet and heart-touching melody that makes me feel like floating, I forget about everything around me...... :o) *GREAT* and ageless song

  • Good Song + beautiful Voice !!!

  • This is like throwing it all away part 2!!

  • @skintrade Funny you should say that - the working title for this song was "Still Throwing It All Away" :)

  • @SPeacock I thought it was "BBH" (Big, big Hit), but I guess it could have had more than one. :)

  • @gregandrob That was another title, yes :)

  • @skintrade

For me, if you hear the lead motive of this song, you'll find it is more similar to "It's Gonna Get Better" chorus' than "Throwing It All Away".

  • @salmacis81 I can definitely hear the melody from "It's Gonna Get Better" :) I wonder if that song, "Throwing It All Away" and "Never a Time" are a "trilogy" of sorts?

  • @salmacis81 Sounds a lot more like Throwing It All Away than It's Gonna Get Better, It's Gonna Get Better is a much better song in my opinion.

  • Got this album when it was out new can't believe that was almost 20 years old, seems like its been in my collection for 5 minutes, has not aged at all.

  • @nickmattedwards yes, in my opinion this is never ending music :)

  • @nickmattedwards I agree.... I am Shocked that it has been 20 years

  • Miss you Sabine:(!

  • Yessssss.... one of my favs ;)

  • Thanks for posting this !

  • @tazsub you're welcome :)
