cfw basically means you can play homebrew such as ps1, gameboy, n64 on your psp and what not, you can have to sickest themes, and gameboots. no you cannot buy a hacked psp. yes, it can read umd's because it has nothing to do with things like that. and a hacked psp can play games without umd's because you can download the umd's straight to your ms with no problem. or you can simply sign up for the playstation network on your psp and buy games

CWF is just a normal psp but it runs a hacked version of the psp software and all it does it lets u use KICKASS themes different boot and so it lets u play games just by placing it to ur memory card its just everything and it has all the basic features, BUT can only make the psp fat(1000) and the first edition of the psp slim and lite (2000) CFW cus the others are to well protected

shut down your psp by holding down the power button the hold R button and then keep holding on your R and turn the psp on ((keep holding on R)) then you are in recovery mod go to configuration and then go to umd mods and put it no umd trust me it works
