The challenger has almost twice the horepower per/lb of the car and torque, than that of the honda. Also the challenger has a wider wheel base. I can tell you that it was not an even race but neat to watch. Every car is different, some are just better than others.

just for the record, im not an import hater, i like some imports. i just hate idiots that think throwing a fart can on a honda, and putting a spoiler on (spoilers don't do anything for front wheel drive cars unless its a chin spoiler, sorry to burst your bubble) make it fast enough to take on genuinely fast cars. the only honda's im aware of that can tangle with the chally are the S2000, and the NSX, and both are vastly more expensive.

Mustangs are faster than challengers... challengers became more of a luxury car. Even with more hp and torque, they lose to a mustang in both straight line and turns with their supposedly better drivetrain and suspension. Its not all about power.

Ya, GTR has a 3.8 V6 and it would OWN a Challenger. Hemi's arnt advanced engines. Old technology, maybe Crysler and the rest of the "big" 3 should make their engines better. And you guys will say " oh but the GTR has 2 turbos". Its not the amount of turbos that matters nor is it the amout of pistons an engine has. Its the amount of boost created and how well tuned the engine is. 425 BHP out of a 6.1L engine is rubish.

Uh that "dino" tech used in the HEMI and Small Block Chevy is very reliable. Pushrod motors generate huge torque and are more reliable than OHC counterparts. Compare Ford's 351 to the new modular 5.4 (which is a POS).

You supercharge the HEMI you get over 600hp. The SRT8 will rape a G37. Not beat, rape. You probably dealt with a retard who didn't know how to downshift his car. An SRT8 runs to 60 in 4.9s, the G37 in 5.3. The 1/4 mile is far more to the Dodge's advantage when the big V8 gets to open up.
