mmm. i see where you're coming from.

the lyrics are in mandarin. and in mandarin blue and green can be synonymous when referred to as 'qing' (which also includes every shade in between). but the song uses the word 'lan', which only means blue. ('lu' is green)

the blue in the lyrics describes the traditional blue clothing of locals and the sky and some other stuff. =)

I agree with you. In my culture, green and blue are identified in language, and clothing. They're not different. There is a dialect known as the green dialect in the language I spoken due to the clothing...some people referred as blue.
