The question all comes down to election TO salvation, or election AT salvation. Everything that has ever happened or ever will happen is constantly before God. To Him, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the earth (Revelation 13:8). We are elected by our faith in the Son, and this was foreknown.
@dan9755 No, As verses such as Rom5:18 clearly say, EVERYONE is born positionally elected in Christ just as they're likewise born condemned because of Adam's transgression BUT they must choose to repent & receive Christ for His sacrifice to be efficacious for them. I find it disturbing that fellow "Christians" spend most of their time accusing the brethren and criticizing. I have been a Christian (born again) for 15 years now and I have attended a few Calvary Chapels (years at a time) and never heard them preach anything that wasn't Biblical. In my experience these Calvinist cause churches to break up, I have seen it a few times in Baptist churches. They are devious and conniving, trying to convert people to their misplaced doctrines. It's a requirement to attend their Bible College in Murrietta which I have been to along with the retreat in Big Bear. Their main man against the reformed Doctrine, George Bryson told me that there is nothing wrong with this and that they actively root out any pastor that holds to reformed doctrine. George is someone everyone should avoid though. He is bad news.

@ewong0722 I was a Calvary Chapel person for 13 years. I don't claim any of them are not saved because only God knows a person's heart. I live in the heart of CC central. My wife was baptized by Chuck Smith in 1978! I understand your indignation, but I also understand the anger from former CC people. The question all comes down to election TO salvation, or election AT salvation. Everything that has ever happened or ever will happen is constantly before God. To Him, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the earth (Revelation 13:8). We are elected by our faith in the Son, and this was foreknown.

Second: In Gen 22:12, the Direct Speech comes from "The Angel of the Lord", which is either an angel or Jesus Himself, which would make sense considering Mat 24:36 explains that both Jesus and angels have limited knowledge of the future.

I find it disturbing that fellow "Christians" spend most of their time accusing the brethren and criticizing. I have been a Christian (born again) for 15 years now and I have attended a few Calvary Chapels (years at a time) and never heard them preach anything that wasn't Biblical. In my experience these Calvinist cause churches to break up, I have seen it a few times in Baptist churches. They are devious and conniving, trying to convert people to their misplaced doctrines. He extends grace to those whom repent and once they are saved they are always saved. God does not seek perfection but a humble heart. And faith by works does not equal salvation. There is a book called, "Calvary Distinctive's" which gives the overview of what separates CC's from other movements. George Bryson is no longer a BIG part of the cc's. @ewong0772 standard operating proceedure within the CC denomination is all pastors must hold to Chuck's doctrine or hit the road. It's a requirement to attend their Bible College in Murrietta which I have been to along with the retreat in Big Bear. Their main man against the reformed Doctrine, George Bryson told me that there is nothing wrong with this and that they actively root out any pastor that holds to reformed doctrine. George is someone everyone should avoid though. He is bad news.

@ewong0722 I was a Calvary Chapel person for 13 years. I don't claim any of them are not saved because only God knows a person's heart. I live in the heart of CC central. My wife was baptized by Chuck Smith in 1978! I understand your indignation, but I also understand the anger from former CC people. They have very peculiar ways of dealing with people that have legitimate issues with their ways. They are not a cult, but share some of their ways.

My key is that i don't look up to any man and hero worship anyone on the face of the earth for anything or anywhere in the Bible except Jesus because I give God all the credit for everything and anything that was ever done that was for Him and in His name and with the right heart or ever will. The whole Bible is all about God and what he has done with men and through men just like we see in Romans 9:21-23. The names of the people he used really means nothing in the true scope of the Bible.

When God bestows His grace on people it has nothing to do with merit so no reformed person has anything to brag about. All truly reformed people undertsand this.
