Ye im not sure which 1 to get either, well im not really that botherd but if i were u i would get the 2200kv motor cuz thats wut most people got, havent u noticed that on like every youtube vid about the mamba system it always says 2200kv motor i never seen any1 usein the 2650kv, dont u think?
Actually you have that backwards. You use bigger batteries and lower kv (2200) to build a more efficient cooler running system that will actually outrun the 2650 on 4s.
Negative, 2650 is NOT to be used with 6s, it is not made to run at 6 cell... please read up some more, These have a redline of 50k rpms, you don't even want to be near it if you want to keep it long or have it running efficiently, my 2200kv kicks asss and doesn't get hot for hours.
for 4s go 2650, for 6s for 2200kv, if you don't believe me call Castle or Neu motors the manufacturer of these
i havent had any problems from my brushless motors getting wet. i run sensored and sensorless. i just always use my electric leaf blower to dry my trucks really well when im done and every thing runs smooth.
you seem to know what you're talking about so im wondering if you could explain about kv, i got a feigao 8xl 2400 something kv i think, is more kv more torque or more power, cheers
Very nice! I have the same setup minus the lipo batteries. I run 7 cell nimh in series. I get about 40mph, which is plenty for me. Runtimes around 20 min. Speed calculators put you at around 46mph, is that what you are getting?
On this gearing real speed mesred by GPS is 68 km/h, but this stock pinion 19t bouhgt with MMM is very weak and sometimes destroy spur gear. I bought Robinson 22t and a motor is colder and it have more power and torque.
I have a 3905 as well with the 2200kv mamba system and have put a ton of money in it to keep it together, finally got the cvds and robinson diffs and everything else needed to keep it from breaking when i take it out.
Then HPI comes out with the Savage Flux.....damn it
With very professional level tweaking achieving 75MPH is very hard to do. Going from 50 to 75MPH is a huge achievement not easily accomplished by simple upgrades, FYI.
forget about it it not a litle toys that you can buy just like that, you need some tools and accessori, to keep it in shape, if you never bought your self a real remote controll car forget about it, you cant not expect too just play with it when you wish and leave it there. sometime you have to repair it or maintain it,
My gearing on movie is 19/68, but it's really too short, Vmax is not optimal, 22/68 gearing is more better and more powerful, but I thing lower gearing are better.
No, transmission is stock, diffs are really strong, also center transmission. Worse is driveshafts, but it's also strong. On movie is on very high gearing and it's quite slow, maximmum speed it's on a end riding on a grass.
That's amazing! When I had my 3905 I had steel driveshafts only, no steel center driveshafts were available at that time. I constantly kept breaking the front center driveshaft and rear diff. And that was with 4S system... :)
how do you fit your batteries in it?

if you plan to go 6s eventually, get the 2200kv, if u plan on staying round 3s or 4s stay with the 2650.

the 2200Kv is for 4s
the 2650Kv is for higher rpm's with 6s

hey i noticed you said waterproof out the box, once u go brushless put aside the esc isn't it 'DEADLY' for a brushless engine to get wet?
daleyb93 2 years ago
if you put the mamba max under water both the esc and the motor then its dead..
If you want a brushless waterproof esc+motor combo get the VXL brushless system from Traxxas . 1 bl=150 2bl=300
2 VXL's are just..........

daleyb93 2 years ago
It depends on voltage, motor and more things.
Generaly: lower kV-more torque, but minimaly less power, more effectity. Higher kv-more power, less torque, less effectity.
On the same voltage higher kV have more torque, more power, but sometimes less effectity.
It not always the same, but is generally.

Do you have 2 6s lipos? That must have cost you a ton.
Super08Duty 3 years ago
6s means (2) 3s li-po
revotmaxx8 3 years ago
Hello. I have 2 li-po 6s 4900mAh, it cost about 280$, but run time is really good.
karolpenconek 3 years ago
So you used a total of 12S for this video? 2X 6S = 12S. The Mamba Monster cannot handle that.
I believe you mean 2X 3S or 2S2P.
50 minutes on this setup? That's what I get with 8000mah packs and a brushed motor! Are you serious?
Also, 75MPH? Specially not possible with those stock tires... correct me if I am wrong.
djbis 2 years ago
Now I use one 6S1P pack on my FLM chassis, it can run about 25-35 minutes
On this movie was 6S2P pack at all.
Speed now is around 45-50 MPH, but I belive, on very good tires and lower gearing will run 75MPH.
