Suddenly, it makes sense where the idea for the 2005 Blue Devils show came from, a dance derby in reverse. This performance garnered more acclaim than the BD version, though.

Amazing stuff, though. It's hard to watch this and believe it's a high school group.

Thanks for postin this up.. This was my last year performin anything like this. These were the glory days!! I don't think anyone of us knows that this is on here. And yes, Scott Chandler, Beth, Dave, Chad and Rodney was a force not to be messed with. Ha!

This is the only JL show I hadn't seen until now. Sooooo......I take it Scott Chandler had a major influence in the Blue Devils' show then? I'm really kinda over the way JL's shows use multiple vocal tracks because it gets annoying after awhile. Their equipment work is tops, though.

As far as multiple vocal tracks, 2007, 2006, 2005 did not follow that formula. That said 2004 did and it was a brilliant idea the way the guard used "ear protection" or ear muffs. While on, silence then off a new track, back & forth.
