  • I use your book's concepts to teach claymation at my daughter's school. You inspire me and I'm sure others, so keep it up!

  • Do you know any volunteers that could help you? I volunteered to help a guy with a stop-mo film, and worked one day a week for like 6 weeks. Put it out there, and see if you can get help and not have to do it alone. Because I feel for you when you say you are tired of working alone. I feel the same way. So My vote is keep going on ZP, but you may think about lowering the bar on length or cutting shots because I know how long this must take.

  • I think that 90 days is a tough deadline for a film to be finished. I think you should try to finish it before you become a father. Because believe me, you will not likely be in your cave, I mean garage, very much after that. I think it is safe to say that the majority of your 'pet projects' are behind you once you slip one past the goalie. So finish the film, because we all want it to be done, because you are great at what you do. But after that, you can kiss your free time goodbye.

  • Hi Marc, I would like to offer you some encouragement but some tough talk too. I've got your book and I love it, but I lack the time and space and money to try my hand at stop-mo. I am an out of work cg animator with 2 kids. You are facing some of the same issues that most of us (I assume) face when we grow our families.

  • Please don't close down animateclay! That site really helped me when I started getting into stop motion

  • I agree with stopmojim, and hire a local student part time. If you need any help, you know you can always count on the AC community, as we would love to help you out to keep AC up and going!

  • i ordered two dvd's and a sculpting tool from you so sorry for taking your time mate... but i understand your decision and wish you good luck! your videos are really helpful! i almost got all of them! thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • Hire a local high school or college student to fill orders part time. This shouldn't cost to much if it is needed in spurts. If it's more demanding than that, blanket the labor costs across product pricing.

Then get back in the studio! :)

  • (^ crazy is go0DD

  • (^ looks like time to box up and ship off the animateclaydotcom to a grunt packaging company?
