  • Is this the version of Manhattan Transfer?

  • @gmansi No, it's by the Ad-Libs.

  • @GingerGilligan Thanks.

  • "he keeps his pockets full of spending loot....his brand new car" What a gold digging bitch.

  • Favorite song when I was a kid. My mom's car got stolen when I was about 7 and I remember saying "but my Manhattan Transfer tape was in there."

  • @dizzletron I just realized I'm signed in as my boyfriend on youtube. I'm not dizzletron. lol.

  • My Son(a honey brown mongrel mix) was named for Lovey Howell.......... the sweetest most loving face I'd ever seen. Lovey .....I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU EVERY DAY. Love ya always Mama.

  • outtakes What wonder

  • i am doing this for my dance

  • the Ad Libs are the original and Best..oo wa oowa oo wa kitty tell us about the boy from NYC

  • Gilligan rocked!!

  • Ginger aged horribly! I saw her on a Reunion show they had a couple years back. She looks horrible. The other cast members were talking about what a nasty diva attitude she had and hwo she was jealous of all the attention Mary Ann got. All those years later with such a weather beaten and worn out face she still had that nasty diva attitude except this time her outsides matched her insides LOL

  • No other version can win the hearts of the listeners than the original. But does this film have anything to do with the song?

  • The connection between the film and song is that this song was popular at the time of this episode which is a favorite of the person who uploaded it.

  • For the video let's pretend that Gilligan is Mr. Howell's son and is rich and from NYC. ;)

  • what episode is the first clip from? it doesn't look too familiar....definately from season 1 I know

  • Big Man on Little Stick (The surfer dude episode; he catches Gilligan with Mary Ann)

  • Love the old black and white episode of Gilligan's Island. Wish it didn't have the scratches, but still good stuff.

  • this is my ice skating show song:)

  • that sounds cool

  • You're not from Streatham?

  • KC - I appreciate talent wherever I see it.

  • There's a 4-CD compilation I picked up from the library called the Brill Building Sound with this song on it. If you don't know about the Brill Building and its contribution to music in the 60's, you should check it out. You might be amazed at the songs that came from the singer/song writers working in that building.

  • the version im singing in school is much faster and even catchier. this is kinda slow and there's too many DEHT DEHT DEHT 'S

  • Sorry but this version is the best. Its all in the person who is listening. this is the original and the best in my opinion

  • Yes, this is the original song & the best. To bad they were a one hit wonder

  • One of the greatest songs ever. So catchy and makes you happy. ooh wah ooh wah...

  • hahaha, when iIwas little I used to play this song over and over until my mom hid the record.

  • Who is singing this song? I think it ain't The Ad Libs?!

  • No, it's definitely the Ad-Libs. It's the only song of theirs I know.though.

  • I like this show, so does my mom. thanks for posting.

  • haha!the song is great and the comic video fits right!Quite funny ;)

  • my tap class is doing our dance to this song.

  • i love this song! my acappalla choir is singing this for our next concert and i have the 2nd concert! i am sooooo excited! he's really down. and. hes no clown. he has the finest penthouse ive seen in town. and hes cute! in his mo hair suit! and he keeps his pockets full of spending loot! ooooooowee! you ought to come and see! his dueling scar. and brand new car!

  • it's "mole hair" suit. Popular in the 40's and 50s.

  • yeah its not "mole hair" its "mo hair" i have the music. i should no

  • Interesting. Hmmm. I know "mole Hair" suits were "In" back then. So It may have just been the way the singer sang it. A slang phrasing of the word mole. Living in the South now, I can see how that could happen.

  • It is mohair, just as in the reference in the Elton John song, "Benny and the Jets". But for the longest time, I thought Elton was not singing "she's got elecvtric boots, a mohair suit", but rathert "she's got electric boobs, a mohair suit", lol. Always wonderred how they would work.

  • Love this song! Were doing it in my choir at school. I auditioned fot the solo but I don't know if I got yet....

  • whats the video?

  • It's from "Gilligan's Island" a TV show from the 1960's.
