@SpringDing1000 PA is def as tough if not tougher then iowa at the high school level 2 of iowa's best young wrestlers mike evans and josh dziewa are both former former PA wrestlers go look at fargo results and see how many champs and all americans are from PA more then iowa i wrestled in iowa i know were good but in a dual between our 14 best and pa's best id put my money on them

@mayhemclownsoto They don't suck lol or they wouldn't be in the national championship...They are just so evenly matched that niether can really do anything to score, good match. To go to either of those schools you were most likely a four time state champ in high school, and possibly undefeated.

@knightsnumber22 theres only one 4 time state champ at iowa from the state iowa currently and its nick moore there are a couple 4 timers from other states though and a couple years ago iowa had 2 4 timers starting at the same time but being a 4 timer dosnt mean shit once u get to college dan leclere 4 time state champ only lost 2 high school matches never made it to all american status and only started for iowa one season before being beat out

I don't think you can say McDonough didn't do anything the entire match. It was just that Long was so aggressive the whole time McDonough couldn't really set anything up. McDonough did a great job of scrambling and sprawling and scored on the reshots...

No, he deserved it. Tough matches like these are won sometimes with one good takedown, which McD provided. Long with a few really good attempts, but McD showed superior defense. The ref didn't screw Long or give McD a gift. Tough, scrappy match won by a takedown and superior defense.
