2JZGTE in an AE (any AE chassis) and no Honda will catch it. simply cause s2000 has larger displacement providing shedloads of torque.

You could tell just when the ae86 lost it just a little around that final hair pin that he was gone, I'd say the s2k jumped the gun a little and throttled a little too hard hence getting the back out a little on exit, but he kept it together like a champ. Mad vid man, love it!

it takes lots of guts and high skill to break that late and catch up with a much lighter car like that

having a s2000 doesn't mean it is faster than a very light car like 86

not all toyota are fast. only ae86 is the fastest in corners. the fastest in straight away is probably mr2 or 2000gt

Either its turbo, supercharged or has a REALLY built up N/A motor. Like pulling 10,000RPM built.

The S2000 is by no means a slouch, and the guy wasn't taking it easy on the '86!

That was some very good driving. Yes the 20v can be put to shame by a well tuned 16v on but ill be damned the 20v is the best power out of the box for sure. This vid is great showing the vast improvement in chassis stability, braking and acceleration in the s2k vs the 86. It can definitely be seen the final right hander before the straight.

yeah whell what ever those two got owned befor the third lap you couldn't even see any of the other drivers on the corse (though it think its funny the "s2k" got off track a couple of times)

i agree if he jirkes around he is drifting. because at that specific corner he is drifting and countersteering a bit. he probably let go off the gas fast and regain traction fast causing him to correct his steering to late and causing the jerking manner and steering.
