@adamalada1 itd be nice if you had the call on recording, personally i record all my orders if i call someone up... theres no doubt in my mind that your dealing with a BS company, but i still think in order for them to continue to do business over the phone they had to have some form of legalization behind it... It'd also be good to know how they advertised, was it radio, mail, tv, etc?

yeah i agree with this, dont get the free trials. if you are gnna buy it u can get it from ebay where you control your own supply. the acai berry is good for you, just like fruit is, the colon cleanse is a different matter though. try eating sensibly and exercise and it will work. calorie control!!!!

apparently it IS possible to cancel but it is extremely difficult, as they do everything they can to delay the process until your "free trial period" ends, whereapon they charge you 60 GBP or whatever.
Heh, well to be honest with you i actually sold acai products in a call center and i can tell you the numbers arent fake, in order too take credit cards over the phone they have to follow very strict ftc guidelines and policies, and that includes substanciating claims made in advertising...
now ive taken countless re-orders from customers, so the product i sold DOES work for alot of people. (i dont work at that call center anymore though, i moved)
as far as CS goes, i HAVE heard that, and that is a problem, but did you know if a company has X amount of customers on autoship theyre required by law to have X ammount of customer service reps? personally i think that the ratio needs to be raised...
anyhow, lets say your on a trial due to end the 30th.. what you do is on day 29, send the product back and have it sighned for, that way when its delivered you know it got there,the package will be postmarked on the day you sent..
So theres nothing a company could do in that situation to deny your refund... youd have proof of receipt, and that would have the date posted, if a company tries to deny the refund, any trade authority will take one look at that and grant your case..
not that you should have to go through that, and in most cases people don't have too.. YES there are shady dealers out there, but the only reason that they get away is because the consumer dosnt know the procedure to follow

I tried to order it once and it was a SCAM. They would want to keep charging you and sending you more and there was no way to cancel it. The phone numbers listed didn't work. I had to put in a complaint to my bank/credit card and block the charge from ever going through. I did win and they are trying to stop these scams.

After viewing porn until 2 am, I had encountered a numerous quantity of spam concerning the acai berry. Obeying my intellect, I instantly came to a conclusion, that the websites hosting the production of the acai berry, was a scam.
I went to the website decided not to do it. Well Customer Service then calls me. I said it costs too much to please don't call again and I hung up. Then this guy precedes to call me again explaining about a promotion they have of $39 a month and I said I am not interested, please do not call again or I will get you for harrassment. He then calls the 3rd time and tries to tell me what a good offer this is so I hung up again.
The number this call was coming from is 305-800-1000.
If you want to try the acai berry......I just bought a bottle of it made by natures bounty for 9 bucks at CVS pharmacy. 1000mg 60 softgels. If you HAVE to have the expensive stuff, try amazon, at least its safer.

I got scammed, too. I thought I was receiving a free sample, but checking my bank account today, they charged me $87 for a 14 day sample supply. Since I did not respond in the alloted time, they wont take the charge off my credit card. I told the person that I didnt like the product and want my money back and she said the company would respond in about 3 days. So 14 days of this stuff cost me over $90. BTY I got charged 150 for two new bottles that are on their way because I didnt receive an email or any information with the shipment and could not find the website to cancel the thing so I had to cancel my Credit card.
Ivlaver!ck - cancelling your credit card wont help. The charges will be put on your new card. I tried that too. Capital One MC said the charges will just be applied to the new card. I filed fraud charges with the company and am busy slamming AcaiBurn everywhere I can to be sure nobody else gets ripped off.
I am doing the same thing. My sister lost over $200 from teeth whitening and wasn't aware of it until I told her about acai terms and conditions. We changed the debit card number just to make sure that I am ONLY PAYING FOR 5.95 and that the teeth whitening company cannot charge any more.

I have a suggestion -- since these scams - yes, Michele's, Sarah's, etc. - are all showing up on web sites like MSNBC, CBS, etc. because they're using google adwords or adsense or other ad programs, click on the links then close the windows. Yes, the software is all the same, meaning it came from one place. I've made clicking the links a new hobby.

very perceptive, yes, that's the idea behind it, but you see, the numbers they provide you are fake. seriously. they are straight up fake, you will not get to speak to a customer service representative.
apparently it IS possible to cancel but it is extremely difficult, as they do everything they can to delay the process until your "free trial period" ends, whereapon they charge you 60 GBP or whatever.

Heh, well to be honest with you i actually sold acai products in a call center and i can tell you the numbers arent fake, in order too take credit cards over the phone they have to follow very strict ftc guidelines and policies, and that includes substanciating claims made in advertising...
now ive taken countless re-orders from customers, so the product i sold DOES work for alot of people. (i dont work at that call center anymore though, i moved)

as far as CS goes, i HAVE heard that, and that is a problem, but did you know if a company has X amount of customers on autoship theyre required by law to have X ammount of customer service reps? personally i think that the ratio needs to be raised...
anyhow, lets say your on a trial due to end the 30th.. what you do is on day 29, send the product back and have it sighned for, that way when its delivered you know it got there,the package will be postmarked on the day you sent..

So theres nothing a company could do in that situation to deny your refund... youd have proof of receipt, and that would have the date posted, if a company tries to deny the refund, any trade authority will take one look at that and grant your case..
not that you should have to go through that, and in most cases people don't have too.. YES there are shady dealers out there, but the only reason that they get away is because the consumer dosnt know the procedure to follow

I tried to order it once and it was a SCAM. They would want to keep charging you and sending you more and there was no way to cancel it. The phone numbers listed didn't work. I had to put in a complaint to my bank/credit card and block the charge from ever going through. I did win and they are trying to stop these scams.

I went to the website decided not to do it. Well Customer Service then calls me. I said it costs too much to please don't call again and I hung up. Then this guy precedes to call me again explaining about a promotion they have of $39 a month and I said I am not interested, please do not call again or I will get you for harrassment. He then calls the 3rd time and tries to tell me what a good offer this is so I hung up again.
The number this call was coming from is 305-800-1000.

I got scammed, too. I thought I was receiving a free sample, but checking my bank account today, they charged me $87 for a 14 day sample supply. Since I did not respond in the alloted time, they wont take the charge off my credit card. I told the person that I didnt like the product and want my money back and she said the company would respond in about 3 days. So 14 days of this stuff cost me over $90. Please dont fall for these scams.

when I told them to cancel my order they said "Your in a life time trial!" as if it was a good thing
after threatening to take them to court his manger "larry" walked in and said it was ok to cancel and hes sorry i dont know how the mailing system works.

I got ripped off on the acai burn website. Beware. I cancelled the program within the 14 day limit, and Ihave been continually charged since. Membership fees. web fees transaction fees and they even sent me a new shipment after I cancelled and sent the pills back. This is nothing but a money grab and you have to cancel out of 5 different companies that dont know anything about any of the other companies. This free trail cost me over $200 bucks. This is a total scam

You have to cancel out of 5 different companies to get out of the deal Membership company, web access company Eonline company, transaction fees, and they even send a new shipment before your 14 day trail is over and stick you the charges to mail it back with tracking numbers. You would be better to flush your $200 down the toilet and go for a long walk instead.

Ivlaver!ck - cancelling your credit card wont help. The charges will be put on your new card. I tried that too. Capital One MC said the charges will just be applied to the new card. I filed fraud charges with the company and am busy slamming AcaiBurn everywhere I can to be sure nobody else gets ripped off.

I havent tried any of the pills because I can literally pull apart the cheap arsh capsules so putting that together with the cheap, label, bottle, and lack of instructions, and possible side effects I dont trust the thing. I got the trial of the Purity 12 and Acai berry detox and received a cheap bottle with a cheap label on the bottle, the cap isnt even childproof. The acai berry pills have caffeine in them so of course the pills will give you energy. If I had known this I wouldnt have ordered them.

I am overweight, I want to lose weight and I might wait until a personal trainer comes to my home to help me lose weight than get any of these FREE trials till then I am a HAPPY FAT WOMAN. Yes, the software is all the same, meaning it came from one place. I've made clicking the links a new hobby.
