Question, With this hdd logistical disaster goin on right now, do you expect the ssd manufacturers to look at this as an opportunity to aggressively lower the price of ssd's and give them more capacity and basically wipe hdd tech off the market. People need storage no matter what kind. since the prices of hdd;s are closer to those of the ssd why not really take advantage of this situation and really move us in to the next gen. market the hell out of the tech and then dominate....

Possibly, keep in mind Canadians pay a bit more. Despite the fact that our currencies are fairly close these days it seems we still pay higher prices. Honestly I would have been happy with a 1 TB version like the one I already own but it's no longer available. I don't even know how much the drive I bought was priced at before the flooding. The WD blacks are good drives though, and they're saying prices might stay high for a while (longer than I can wait) I still lucked out.
