If you're on 4.0, don't bother. If you're on 3.3, or 3.4, rename the RZDE folder in the SD card to rzde. if that doesn't work, use the correct twilight hack.

Team Twiizers have bee thinking of that. I doubt it works, they couldn't get it to copy to the Wii from the SD card on 3.3. It's best to either not update, or use Waninkoko''s 4.0 updater, and keep features.

Uh..no. Lol. You're practically screwed. If you do any update, you get an automatic 4.0, and Homebrew doesn't work an those earlier version 2.0 Wiis. Only on 3.0. You'll need to wait for now.

No, don't say anything like that again. The key is to get Homebrew, not brick your Wii. He's on System Menu 2.0, Super Mario Galaxy will make him jump to 3.x causing a brick. He'll need a seriously old Wii game to update him him slowly out of 2.0 (2.0 > 2.3 > 2.7 > 3.0). The last person that updated to 3.x on a 2.2 Wii got a full brick, and sent it to Nintendo since it's their fault for putting the System Menu on the disc.

Those of you who have Wii Firmware version 4.0 (Released today 3/25/09).

Do NOT update, if you do, you're temporaril screwed, and there is no way to downgrade. This update completely broke the process along with the trucha bug, and Twilight Hack completely destroyed.

If you do/did update, don't bother to post a comment on help installing this on 4.0.

I just NOW got my email update from Nintendo's Wii Subscription hype, and it told me to update because of the Arcade games being released for the Virtual Console.

As soon as I saw that firmware Ver. 3.4U on it, I thought I'd stop & watch xhead12 show me how to play my beloved roms, rom hacks, & whatnot onto the Wii.

Make sure you downloaded the 3.4 version, and not the 3.3 one. If it still won't transfer, go into your SD card, and rename RZDE to rzde (Long answer: Retype the whole RZDE in lowercased letters). It should transfer.

When you install the channel, you're basically done. You don't need the hacked savefile anymore, so you can go ahead and delete it. You can still play Zelda with your savefile you backed up, or start a new one.

Just open the WinRAR archive, and drag the private folder to your SD card. Then dig inside the folder until you find three folders named RZDE, RZDP, and RZDJ. Depending on what region your Twilight Princess is, you'll only need one of those to match it.

RZDE = USA

RZDP = EUR

RZDJ = JPN

You'll still have to use the process of the Wad Manager to play the SNES emulator as a channel (Since it's the only way play the SNES Emulator without installing the Homebrew Channel). Even if you don't want the Homebrew Channel, you're still going to need a copy of the Wii Edition of Twilight Princess, and the Twilight Hack savefile.

If you watched the video, you'll know you'll need the Twilight Hack savefile to install it, Twilight Princess (Wii Edition), at least a 2GB SD card, and the files to install it.

This video is misleading as all hell. xhead12 already states that he already installed this before the 3.4u update. If you have wii version 3.4u, homebrew will not install if you havent done so prior to the nintendo update.

You need to revert back to a previous version.

3.4 is just making your job harder to install/uninstall .wads. You need to keep copying it to the Wii System Memory because right when you get to the menu, it will be gone. It's useless anyway.

First of all, why would you want to update to 3.4U? Second of all, it will not delete the .wads, but it WILL stop your Wad Manager from working.

Finally, if you do update your Wii, you're giving Nintendo the right to auto-update without your permission. 3.4 is just useless. As well as the Oct. 23rd update, and the 3.3 update.

No, my Zelda game is Japanese and my Wii is american. Wait, if they both need to be in the same region, that means that I have to go and find a Zelda game that corresponds to my american wii. Because I found this out by looking on the back of my game disc and on the inner circle of it, it say's JPN which obviously means Japan.

If you had Homebrew before updating to 3.4, there's no need to update at all nor use the Twilight Hack.

3.4 deletes the Twilight Hack from the Wii console after every boot ONLY. It leaves all the other stuff like the Homebrew Channel alone. Except for certain apps.
