You know i use to tell my mom that i was born in the wrong era, back in the 80's cuz i loved The Monkees and would have loved to have been around when you probably couldn't go to a store and not find SOMETHING with the Monkees on it. Magazines, cards, lunch boxes, puzzles, doll etc. Back in the 80's i bought cassettes, now i'm getting their music on Vinyl. Sundazed just put out their first 5 albums on vinyl with extra tracks, and Rhino just put out the Head soundtrack on clear vinyl.(500 only)

This chick is funny!!! And great taste too! I saw the Monkees in Fall of 1986 somewhere in Massachusetts, their 20th anniversary, my first concert (I was 15) great show! Saw them again at The Hampton Playhouse in New Hampshire in 1996, their 30th anniversary. They put on a great show, know how to get the audience excited! I was all ready to see The Beatles in concert, but then realized I wasn't born yet! :)

I too have always been a Monkees fan; finally saw them in concert in 2002 minus Mike unfortunately, but it was still totally cool...I could hardly believe I was actually seeing my childhood music heroes in person!!! Their music is timeless, it sounds as good today as it did then. I love all their songs; Daydream Believer, Star Collector, The Door into Summer and I'm a Believer are a few of my favorites!

That logo is beautiful! First concert I ever saw. I was ten, the Monkees at the Miami Beach Convention Center. I met Mike around '69 and he punk'd me but that was okay. He had such an influence on me as a kid. He's the reason I play guitar today.

Ha, ha, ha, ha! You're funny! I love The Monkees and I drew a picture of Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. I made a very realistic drawing of Micky, because he is my favourite. I made their logo on paper with all their albums listed at the top and all their names on the side. Then I stapled all my drawings togather with their logo page as a cover. I also listed all their songs on four different pieces of paper. Thanks for the video!

I have a lot of Monkees memorabilia too. including the new metal lunch box and the original Thermos and Davy's book Daydream Believer,Monkees Tale and MonkeeMania. wow, I saw the show with Gary puckett and Herman Hermitts, I'm such a fan when I was one year old my mom made a 8mm color movie of me dancing on a marble table to them in 1966! Oh, and the town in the song is Clarksville, Arizona. I always thought it was Clarksville, Tennessee for some reason. :-)
