  • @orangetrain66 I haven't heard anything, but you might ask fellow Youtube user ANDREWAMTRAK. I can't be sure, but I believe he's involved with MRSR.

  • 17 has one day left on it's boiler certificate as of Sunday!

  • As I recall, the boiler specifications changed right after she was restored, or something like that.

  • They're not really sure yet, but I'm pretty sure that she'll steam again one day.

  • That's the cab of #5.

  • The only locomotive in that shot is Northern Pacific F-unit #7012-A

  • #5's tender is with the #5. She's parked out of frame.

    Remember, the thing with railroad preservation is to restore items to as close to the original as feasible. It wouldn't make much sense to put #5's Vanderbilt tender on #70 if #70 already has her own, original, historically significant tender.
