Most ppl dont realize, when they eat out at restaurant that,If a shrim is not shape like a butter fly after its clean, that it mean they didnt clean the shit on both sides.
@NinjaAnybody True - it's not a ciculatory vein in that sense. It's a 'sand' vein - or in other words part of the digestive tract. Which means you REALLY don't want to eat it. Me renaming common parlance wouldn't change that! ;-)
@cejulioDark I got it! Ok - often in dishes in which the shrimp is prepared whole - with the head and tail intact, including the shell, you'll see where a concientious cook still made a slit right through the shell in order to remove the vein. It's a bit tricky, because you don't want to take off the shell, legs, head or tail. This way the shrimp is still cleaned, but intact. Leaving the shrimp whole like this makes for some phenomenal flavor! Thank you!
You need a better video camera. Lost alot of detail and could not see what was going on.

Hello Billy! Yes, your way does work for me, thanks! But could you show us how to peel the shrimp if we want to keep its head? Thanks though!
