Any professional, common sense spear-fisherman should carry shark repellent in case sharks get that close. Myself and others all over the world dive with sharks all the time and very rarely does an incident occur, and if it does its usualy because the person is situated next to bait. In the situation I was in, my dive hood had gotten soaked by the bait bucket, even so you see how easily they are steered away. Craig Classen could have very easily steered this shark away and gotten to the boat. He is a liar !

I can assure you as someone who has encountered several different species of sharks, that the only way a diver would be in danger would be if he did not or could not see the shark.Once eye contact has been made and the shark is kept track of the divers can easily fend it off and get in to the boat if need be. Im from an island and I've met sharks like this more than 20 times while I was spearing underwater, "katebe"... maybe it is the lack of experience in recognising attacking/anry sharks and wander sharks... just a hint, have dived during the night, striking light like torch attract sharks...

@ilikebumfluff That wasny my only encounter with a shark ya know, just one on tape. Myself and others all over the world dive with sharks all the time and very rarely does an incident occur, and if it does its usualy because the person is situated next to bait. In the situation I was in, my dive hood had gotten soaked by the bait bucket, even so you see how easily they are steered away. Craig Classen could have very easily steered this shark away and gotten to the boat. He is a liar !

I can assure you as someone who has encountered several different species of sharks, that the only way a diver would be in danger would be if he did not or could not see the shark.Once eye contact has been made and the shark is kept track of the divers can easily fend it off and get in to the boat if need be. I think before craig is a diver, he is a hunter

If he thought his life was in danger its strange that his first thought was to start filming. Its also strange that the shark charging at them and then preparing for a second charge was the only thing which was not on the video, why was that part edited out?. The harpoon has impaled the shark in its back of its head so it was fired while the shark was facing in the opposite direction to them, hardly threatening if its swimming away from them.Dick heads shot the shark in the back for no reason.

Your kind of assuming i use a spear gun... I actually hunt with bow on land and hand spear in the water. I do carry a shark-dart in case a great white wants to make me dinner... I never venture into the "deeps", most dangerous sharks live in shallow water. MY decedents hunted with bows and traps, or nets in the river. talking in hindsight from ur computer chair in ur office is real easy. Put yourself in the water with just u an 800 lb shark and then see how you react and what you think. No one wants to spear a shark or should think about it but when your life could be on the line most won't hesitate to defend themselves. Only they know if they were close enough to get on the boat. As a surfer i can tell you if you see a tiger shark they are no friends what so ever. before you know it you´ll have your leg off.
you do what you have to do to get out alive. Maybe kill in it is not hte best thing but for sure you better no miss it or you´ll be in big trouble

Tiger sharks are bad news but I hope this guy was really defending himself and he didn't kill that poor shark for no reason.

Thats BS - if you say the shark charged you after you pressed record where is the footage of that? All I see from that video is a curious shark - there doesnt appear to be any sign of aggression whatsoever - it looks like you killed a big impressive shark just for the hell of it. If it was being so aggressive to you WHERE IS THE PROOF? I bet you edited the part where you and your friends swum up and speared it and then later said it was behaving aggressively. Youre nothing but a lying dickhead

everyone keeps saying they killed an innocent shark, but didn't the guys say that the shark was blocking them from getting to the boat? so i don't think they killed it just for fun..i mean..it's a SHARK...!!!

Im from an island and I've met sharks like this more than 20 times while I was spearing underwater, "katebe"... maybe it is the lack of experience in recognising attacking/anry sharks and wander sharks... just a hint, have dived during the night, striking light like torch attract sharks...
