  • Hey Leesha, Merry Christmas to you and yours. I can relate since I have chronic AR. Try out a low acid coffee. It can be well managed with the meds available but you have to take it everyday. I pray that your beautiful voice recovers soon and wish you the best in all your endeavors in the new year.

  • Oh Leesha! Hope you kick that AR in the arss! Heehee. I wish you and your family a very Blessed Christmas!

  • I wish you and your family a wonderful christmas time too!

    Best wishes

    Stefan

  • "Water" and a Smile

  • Ha, indeed! Doesn't have the same ring to it though...

  • acid reflux ugh been dealing with it for years and I still sing although my singing could kill people I try not to torcher too many people

  • Merry Christmas!! thanks for posting! :)

  • Merry Christmas! Have a great holiday season :) Keep Warm!

  • Merry Christmas Leesha!

  • Thank you for the Christmas song, it's beautiful! And I wish Merry Christmas for you and your family.

ps. hope you'll getting better soon

  • Suffered with reflux for years and didn't take it seriously.

After 2 years I checked the web and found out how dangerous it is. I found out that "Bartlets Esophagus" or B.E. can develop from repeated burning and healing over the years.

Esophagial cancer can develop and it is becoming very common.

  • One of the ancient remedies to stomach problems is cumin powder, one heaping teaspoon will do the trick, tough to swallow, but works.

  • Ugh, that sounds like one remedy that might be worse than the problem itself! :-)

  • I cannot eat my beloved Breyers Ice Cream too soon before bedtime, else I too will succumb to the dreaded acid reflux. I know your pain - bolting upright in the middle of the night with that awful burning & coughing! I will say a prayer that your lovely vocal chords will be spared lest you become the next Bonnie Tyler (her big hits = "It's a Heartache", "Total Eclipse of the Sun"). Nice seeing you again, Leesha. Merry, blessed Christmas to all of you there!

    ~Jon

  • Happy Holidays, can't wait to hear some new music, You are great so take it easy and get better.

  • Merry Christmas..

I can't send you a message because of facebook friendlist..

  • hey! Merry Christimas!

    Miss your vids!

  • Good to see you Leesha! Don't know if you saw it, but I twittered a remedy (chamomile tea) for the acid reflux thing to you recently. As a matter of fact, I guess you didn't, because then you wouldn't be hoarse by now! :) Merry Christmas!

  • Actually I did see that Lene, and I tried it, but it didn't fix it. :-( The doctor said my case was pretty bad. Thanks for the suggestion though! Merry Christmas to you too!

  • Merry christmas to you too.

  • Hey Leesha you bring us the warmth on yt.

    Have a Happy Christmas. : )

  • Thank you, Merry Christmas to you!

  • Oh no!! not the dreaded acid reflux!! I have suffered too, but it seems to be under control now with no meds.

Other food to be wary of are tomato based sauces and spicy food. Wine can also be a problem for me now as it sometimes is so acidic. I have read and found that a teaspoon of honey can help heal, it tastes good too, so worth a try.

Hope you get better soon and are back in good voice. Merry Christmas :)

  • Ah, such a bummer because I loved tomato sauces, spicy food, and good wine! Maybe I'll give the honey a try. Thanks!

  • Hi, Leesha - wishing you a super duper holiday!

Hope the voice-thing gets under control (I don't know what I would do without coffee).

I've been thoroughly enjoying your cd (Penny in the Pocket) You're a true talent -

  • Thanks!

  • Happy Holidays.

    DDR

  • i love you

  • Merry Christmas.

  • Maybe this is case of being careful what one wishes for.... I bet growing up, you always wanted a pony for Christmas -- and now here you are, getting a little hoarse. ....(Okay, that was a REALLY bad joke, I know. I'm sorry. I cringed when I wrote it. But there it is.)

Merry Christmas, friend! And all the best for the new decade to you and your entire Harvey clan!

  • You're right, that is a lame joke. Especially since I grew up on a farm with horses and even had a pony (her name was Daisy) so it doesn't even apply. Ha! Just giving you grief. ;-)

  • As a little farm girl, you had pony named Daisy?

....What All-American fictional storybook did you walk out from?

  • Oh, did I forget to mention the run-down trailer house held together by duct tape and other sordid details of my childhood? And that's only the beginning! I think I'm disqualified from All-American girlhood. :-)

  • btw, I've listened to your Christmas song(s) and am so happy I decided to click onto the link you provided. Just beautiful!
