Thanks for the info on mandatory english teachers by 2011. Very helpful info. Say have you ever taught english in private? If so how much would be charged. How much is compensation for beginners?

@danthadon87 Well I don't know if this is helpful, but I was speaking to one Japanese girl via Skype and she had a private English teacher who couldn't even speak Japanese. She was charged 4000 yen per 1.5 hours. I don't really understand why you would hire someone like that or how it works, but that's what she told me. I'm sure I'm not mistaken since she said "Person's name ha nihongo wo hanasemasen".

Ha Ha this guy is awesome, his living my dream! im soo envious. At the moment im 16 & learning the basics hiragana/katakana will I need to be fluent in writting kanji?
