I checked this morning (it's 4am, lol), and it looks like the 200 finalist videos are up now- all the Tan Dun auditions seem to be gone. I'm still scratching my head about how we're supposed to vote for each other, but I'm DETERMINED to figure it out and will be posted a video as soon as I know! And, I'm pretty sure at this point that only the final 200 are currently posted.

And a side note: I'm posting a new video every day from now til Feb 22 to remind you to vote for me, yay!

I am delighted to say tthe Mystery of the Missing Mozart is solved; today BOTH videos are under view & candidates! I am relieved, VERIFIED ON PHONE w/rep. I'm on to worried waiting like all! MUCH better place to be! OFFICIAL rep was not aware anyone had notice given many auditionees. "Officially" We still get results per listed dates.Those w/such notice; may wish to verify that w/an authority. Could be true but also would be easy hoax email to play on us hopeful dreamers. Evals are now.

MYSTERY OF MISSING MOZART SAGA CONTINUES: It seems Mozart is still missing on site. Historically, a prodigy, he ran away from home at age 2. (Most at age 15; prodigy!) He was found busking in subway on viola. Repetitive 8th notes didn't bring many coins & few people frequenting subways at the time led him to return home. Later was seen in Los Vegas at Elvis convention-powdered wig gave him up. Where oh WHERE is missing Mozart Adagio? Go to KlassiKlarinette for now. Stay tuned Mystery?? :-)

So many smart-aleck violinists on YouTube, lol. I'm guessing they're going to listen to ALL of the violin submissions before beginning their list of finalists. And last I heard, there were a good 300 or so of them, so it may be a while yet. My personal conclusion: wait for the influx of "I got in"s! I, for one, promise to announce it as soon as (or if) I get a message- you can count on me!

You're right, I shouldn't call cky1616 a smart-aleck since it's possible he really did get the notification- my apologies. One of my old buddies from about 10 years ago put in an audition tape and then sat there and counted all of the violin entries, then told me he thought there were at least 300 of them. I recall judges spending a couple days just trying to order seating for 2 sections of violins (40 violins), so unless these guys are uber fast, I'm guessing they're not done yet. We'll see.

I find interesting if finalists being selected when SOME of us haven't seen our submitted videos under VIEW section. Are we candidates or not? Like they said; you have to be in it. I understand it is due to the vast # submitted on final day. I think I might see other people just getting up videos. It took my videos a couple of days to show up as well. I sent them a message about it and they replied saying it just takes a little while for them to process them. However, it's been a while since the deadline...did you send them a message about it? At least you can prove you had it ready by the deadline.

The same thing happened to me. Like tkw4vla, I sent a message to them and they told me that it takes a while for them to put them up since they had so many submissions on the deadline date. I could view both my videos the next day.

They told me that if I confirmed it through the e-mail, and that I saw the "Thank you for submitting" screen, then they received it.

I advise to send them another message to make sure they received it.

Funny, I replied to this some hrs ago; said I did all that; still no video; no email response from yt to email sent Sat. Also that is problem; Mozart never got email only popup promising email. tried 3 times total. Wonder why my last response to that effect didn't make it? Wouldn't you be distressed? I keep sending emails & called; still don't know if my Mozart is included. Tan Dun only got up Fri; but did get email & able to reply for that. That is why missing Mozart is mystery. I'm worried.

Does ANYONE know where my Mozart Video went? Mystery of century! It was submitted; a pop up appeared...but NO email came as promised?? Where OH where COULD it be? Well, it is not on the symphony site, but it still on the KlassiKlarinette site. I HOPE that the judges can find it. Its disappearace is perplexing Mystery of the MISSING Mozart continues...SMILE

It sure is...I have not taken a professional audition for a year and somehow I already forgot how difficult it is to wait for results. Of course we put so much time into daily practice, let alone practice for the actual audition it seems silly that just waiting for results would be so difficult...but it really is! I'm sure things will work out for the best. Hopefully we'll all get positive news!

Awsome! I want to see some piano auditions. Maybe some violin auditions too. I should probably share this. Youtube should show this off but I doubt they will, seeing as how youtube is now google.
