Stay away from the lettuce man it has no nutritional value its all mainly water. I also have a red iggy and a green. i feed mustard, collard, turnip and dandelion greens and switch them up every day same with the fruit. a uvb light is a must to prevent m,b,d i also suggest repti-cal growth formula for calcium and vitamins.

I have a red slightly larger than that one and it is very skittish like that one is as are all young iguanas, as they are prey at that size. I'm sure you're sick of hearing it, but mustard or collard greens are a much better choice, and butternut or zucchini squash, and dandelions or other nontoxic flowers are a good treat too.

holy hell, please tell me you've learned why she's actually red...... if you haven't here's the reason and also a reason to worry. Some people don't know this but iguanas show emotion through skin coloration. heres how it works: green with back spikes up straight maybe a little limp is happy, blue means the worst it means it is very sick and is literally on the verge of death, red/orange isn't as bad but not the best either that color means it is either

One more advice, for now. When you put a baby iggy back into her tank, place her on the floor, next to a branche or something she can climb on. Baby iggy's tend to jump away when you place them high, and they can easely get hurt (specially of you have some kinda rocks in your tank). When placed on the ground, they will climb up and won't panick that much. When they are older and more tame, you can put them on higher branches.

Well, iggy's tend to jump, mine did so too, till she grew to tall and started to trust me fully, and that's about 7 years ago (she is 8 now).

One little advice: where your green iggy is sitting (all day as you say?), you should put something for her/him to warm up onto. Remember, iggy's are cold blooded. You could do this by wrapping a, how you call it, those things that you fill with warm water to warm up your feeth, wrap those into a baththowel (so he/she can't get burned), and lay it there where your iggy usualy sits. It does the trick overhere, with my fullgrown iggy (almost 8 years now) and makes her digest her food better.
