The Saffarids or the Saffarid dynasty (Persian: سلسله صفاریان) was a Persian empire which ruled in Sistan (861-1003), a historical region in southeastern Iran, southwestern Afghanistan and northwestern Pak. The Saffarid dynasty started with Ya'qub-i Laith Saffari Ya'qub was born in 840 in a small town called Karmin, which was located east of Zaranj and west of Bost, in what is now Afghanistan.
did you know that Zaranj was the capital of the saffarid dynasty located in present-day Afghanistan? Zaranj is an ancient city which derives its name from Old Persian Zaranka ("waterland"; cf. Pashto dzaranda).[2] In Greek, this word became Drangiana. actually It is the capital of Nimruz province located in the south-west of afghanistan.
what are they looking for in zaranj? all these people who want to act like they are there to fight for peace in afghanland are looking for other things there and fighting for other reasons and trying to bring it´s history into oblivion but we should wake up and teach them the other way!
