@mona8331 I suggest you check out @muddymuddymuddmann who has made a great how-to series of videos about making a tin can Stirling. I based much of what I did on his method. just go to his channel and look up Tin Can Stirling.
@MarekSHayward can you help me please i have a made one from tin can but it doesn't start i don't know what could be the reason i have made the diaphragm from a glove does that need to be a bit loose or well fixed i don't know why if you are willing to help me i could send you some photos with it so you can help me to make it run .thx.
@alabala327 I'll have a look at the photo if you like but it's difficult to guess exactly why these things don't work. My very first Stirling just wouldn't budge and I never did work out why so I just built a completely different one. I would say, with a flimsy diaphragm, keep it fairly tight. Also check for leaks everywhere - they will scupper things every time!
@MarekSHayward and does the displacer need to be airtight i mean .. at mine has a tolerance of about 2mm on each side between the displacer and the cylinder ..and do you have skype because i don't have anything special i'm from europe
Nice engine ! Have a look on mine please :)

@alabala327 Displacer should not be tight, 2mm space around it sounds fine. I don't have skype either. If you give your email I'd be happy to reply.

This looks like a wonderfully machined job for tin cans and coat hangers! Great job!
