  • Does it have a name?

    Yeeeeeeeeeessss

The stupid girls, its called love!

  • Wish I was Elphie...I'm jealous of her green skin!

  • also this is deffinatly not kristen chenoweth

  • when i saw this i dont remeber them having such awfuly strong british accents except elphaba

  • And Im British :((

  • Omg this is crap compared to the Broadway version :(

  • @LondonLadybug I'm guessing you haven't seen Rachel Tucker portraying the role of Elphaba currently in the West End now. She's honestly the best Elphaba I've ever seen. Bare in mind that I've also seen Idina Menzel on Broadway as well (who is Elphaba in the scene in the video). Kerry Ellis was quite good in the role too in the West End, but not as good as Idina.

  • not near as good as kristin chenowith

  • To those who dislike the overly posh English voice on Glinda, I think it's a bit forced as well, but Glinda in both The Wizard of Oz and the book Wicked was a bit snobby so I think Annalene's doing her role properly. And Glinda isn't meant to be a "dumb blonde." She's just a happy-go-lucky, bubbly character and Kristin portrayed her as that. Kristin was a bit of a snobby Glinda as well but didn't make it as obvious. You need to read the novel to understand it all.

  • omg the british should only be allowed to speak not sing i cant get passed the annoying accent

  • @williambynum07 its kinda funny to me :L because to me it sounds completely normal :L

  • @williambynum07 cheers very muchly, ur accent is pretty dodgy and ur spelling atrocious, u miss out the u in colours. its completely normal to us british and ur accent is the annoying one.

  • @VeryMadGurl tell that to ur queen

  • @williambynum07 No need to be rude. Sheesh. -_-

  • idina menzel was amazing !!! love her voice!

  • LOL elphie's reaction to scaring galina is priceless

  • i think glinda suits bimbo better than posh :/

  • terribly out of sync!

  • It's not Kristin Chenoweth.

  • i love she cakcles at the end of the song.

  • Haha, 'BOO!'

    'Ah!'

    Best part :D

  • I think that Idina and Kristen are the best for Wicked, though truthfully I have never seen the play, but these two do good too. I think this one matches Glinda too.

  • i went 2 see that musical it is amazing

  • Boooo AH!!!! DING lol

  • Those PC error noises in the background are really distracting....

  • Its a shame that the video isn't better quality, it really doesn't do the song justice

  • i love it!!

  • "BOO! AHHH! HEHEH!" I LOVE her lagh at the end

Kristin is a MUCH better Glinda though, she plays the ditzy. 'popular', funny part where this one is like alot more stuck up and meanish. IDINA AND KRISTIN ARE THE BEST DUET IN BROADWAY HISTORY.

  • Idina truly is the best Elphaba ever XD

  • @blake503 What about Margaret Hamilton?? She originated the role after all.

  • seen it ITS SO COOL U HAVE TO C IT!!!!

  • im in love with this musical! i want to see it soo bad!

  • Who's Glinda? It doesn't look or sound like Helen Dallimore?

  • It's Annalene Beachy, her standby.

  • Did anyone notice the smile on Idina's face at the part where they sing at the key change, "There's a strange exhileration"?

  • Ok, I got several things to say:

    1) I love how Elphaba tries to keepher cool when everyone talks about her.

    2) I love her laugh at the end.

    3) Who played Boq in this performance?

    4) Idon't like that comment made about the Irish.

    5) How much in U.S. currency is 20000 pounds?

  • Here's the answer for question 5 its 29,900$

    p.s. I love her laugh 2

  • 1) Thanks for the update. I'm not good with money conversions

    2) Doesn't that laugh put a smile on your face? :-)

  • Your welcome

Heck yes thats my favorite part XD

  • i like the broundway one :( x

  • idina was the original elphie in west end (as well as on broadway obviously) so i think this is her.

  • It looks like Idina Menzell to me though.

  • It is Idina Menzell.

  • It's "Menzel" without the last L

  • i'm not 100% who is playing Elphaba but i think the Glinda is Helen Dallimore. (may be the wrong spelling of her name)

  • It's Idina Menzel and Annalene Beechey

  • diff accent indeed..

  • love it?

  • Inverse. She was the original Broadway Elphaba. Then in 2006 she went to London to reprise her role.

  • Yes. She originated Elphaba in both Broadway and London

  • That "Blond" really describe what Elphie feels fo Glinda

  • This is great! Just different accent

  • I love it how even though everybody has a different accent they all harmonize together and make magic!

  • i saw this in london on a school trip and i just wanted to get up on stage and sing with them, i love wicked :)

  • is that idina menzel as elphaba?

  • Yes it is! isn't she amazing :P

    x

  • i luv this song! i was looking everywhere on utube until i could find this video!!! thanxz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HA and you can? It's idina menzel. She originated the role dumb ass.

  • so sad helen wasnt there

  • this is a purely amazing song!

  • This is the original Elphaba: Idina Menzel.. It only is a new Glinda..the original was Kristin Chenoweth..if you do a bit of trouble, there are enough vids on youtube

  • Does anyone know where there is a vide of this song the REAL London cast??

  • there isn't an originallondencast video of this song ;)!

  • I mean a video taken by somebody from the audience at Victoria's theatre ^^

  • lol there are loads of them on youtube xD with helen and idina!

  • I know, but they are from the Broadway version, I mean a video from the London version (at Victoria's theatre) with Alexia Khadime playing Elphaba XD I haven't found anything =(

  • ...This Glinda isn't even as good as the tour group's Glinda in America, much less the broadway one. o.O

  • she was u/s

  • SHUT UP charlieweb you fucking arrogant little PRICK!!!!

  • is the elphaba in this American?

  • yes she is that is Idina Menzel the first elpheba in america

  • its a brilliant show... i saw the one in london at the weekend but glinda has a bit of an annoying voice in parts altho most of the story is based around elphaba.

  • this cast is sooooo good!

  • When I went to see Wicked in London, Sarah Earnshaw was Glinda. She was really, really good. - she was the stand-in I think..?

  • Why are some on here saying that they don't like the Englishfied version??

I think it suits Glinda very well!

American version has a ditzy Glinda and the British one has a stuck up Glinda.

    They're two different versions!

Never mind the accents or whatever, it's still the same show!

  • @DisneyMagicW True but I simply adore Kristin and Idina.

  • at first i didn't like them, and i still don't, but they've grown on me

  • The first bit it out of sync :b This is awsome! I know I watched the 2006 CIN but I actualy don't remember this lol

  • I love Lucy Durack (Australian Glinda)'s ditzy American accent. I know it's supposed to be English but it's so much better IMO.

  • It's not meant to be English. It's meant to be American. The Wizard of Oz is utterly American and all the shows around the world (except London, apparently) use the American accent :)

  • Oh ok then.

I don't really like it when it's Englishified

    lol

  • Neither really. It's too posh. Especially in Popular!!

  • Why use the American accent??? The Wizard of Oz is not ENTIRELY American!!

And it isn't set in America it;'s set in Oz so the charcaters don't have to have an American accent! ALL the shows use the American accent? No they don't!! German version doesn't, neither Japanese, or Australian! Why is it you always think this should be American, that should be American?? Just proves how arrogant you lot are!

  • I'm a New Zealander, so I'm not an arrogant American. I just saw the Australian one and they DO use American accents. And the Wizard of Oz IS American - it's an American classic! Dorothy comes from Kansas and the whole thing - book and movie - is very Americanised.

  • i luved the song AND her hat ~.' =^.^=

  • This is my favorite song, and these ladies do it really well, but I like Cheno better.

  • IS that Idina Menzel, cause she doesn't sound like she's Brittish.?

    I love Brittish accents.

  • it is idina menzel. she's in both the london and US cast (i think)

  • Yes, it is Idina Menzel. She's not British though.

  • i like kristen better as galinda too... indina menzel has an amazing voice!! :)

  • i prefer it when kristen does galinda :)

  • OMG! Is that Oliver Thompset behind Idina (on the right) at 4:42?! Cos I heard he was an understudy before he became Fieyro.

  • Is it me or was Idina laughing at 3:21? Annalene was a bit meh as Galinda to me.

  • she's trying to keep from laughing, i believe.

  • What is this feeling?

Oh yeah, it's loathing allyou Wicked- haters!

  • I honestly don't really see much chemistry with Idina and the british chick. I don't think Galinda is really captured in this version. At all.

  • haha the sound doesnt match the movements

  • wats the noise in the backrond? lol"blond"

  • I loooooove the boo at the endd. SO funny.

  • i love this song - it's so catchy! and i love it when idina (i think it's her) and helen (since everybody seems to hate her) say zero and one at the same time!

  • Helen isn't Galinda. It's Annalene Beechey.

  • Oops - that might explain the different voice. My mistake!

  • my least favorite Glinda and third favorite elphie.

    Still sort of cute.

  • you kno, i can actually see my english teachers doing this song. my teachers co- teach (obviously), and one of them is a blonde, and the other brunette. one is tall, the other one sorta short. it would be amazing, you have NO idea how funny it would be.

  • i love it at the beginnig when they're reading the letters and they're describing each other! glinda: "unusually and exceedingly... peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe..."; elphaba: "blonde." it's great!

  • ye same lol it always makes me laff!!

  • Who is Glinda?

  • If you mean who plays her, it's Kristin Chenoweth. If you mean is she the blonde or brunette, she's the blonde.

  • That's not Kirstin Chenoweth! This is the london cast, and I am pretty positive it's not Helen Dallimore or Dianne Pilkington. Hmmm so who plays her here? Is it an u/s?

  • what do you mean "is it an u/s?" and so maybe it isnt Kristin Chenoweth. that looks like Kristin Chenoweth to me. thats all i have to say. stupid mistake on my part. boo hoo!

  • understudy = u/s

sorry, i didn't mean to be "harsh" I was just wondering

  • oh. ok. dont worry about being harsh.

  • It's Analeenne (sp?) Beechey playing Glinda.

  • Idina's laugh at the very end is seriously one of my most favorite things ever. It's contagious!

  • totally!

  • I have to agree! It's very contagious.

  • wicked with a british accent!\

  • WOW! like WOW! im speechless

    LOVE facial expressions

  • i havent seen the musical, but still, i just love this song so much! besides defying gravity and popular, this is my all time favotite song.

  • I saw this in london over Spring Break. Thetickets are.... indeed expensive but it is very worth it. The Cast is amazing.

  • the only way to get tickets is through a ticket broker (you can find them online). i gave up a long time ago trying to get tickets to WICKED from Ticket Master or at the box office. They sell out as soon as they go on sale. Ticket brokers buy up tickets and resell them legally. I had to pay over $250 for two tickets in the upper balcony - but worth every single cent - and I'd do it again!!

  • i know!!! i've been waiting to see Wicked for two years, and I'm finally going to go see it tonight.

  • OMG i love this song! i really want to see the musical but the tickets are always sold out!!!! anyways! what is this feeling? love! i love this song

  • seriously i love it

  • me too

  • love it

  • the music is slower than the people talking but other wise i like it

  • Its usually a little faster than this.

  • idina had 2 rember that shes mad lol...i saw her sneak a smile =]

  • i know i saw it too thanks for pointin it out

  • Ow yer lol haha

  • yep me too, LOVE IT!

  • omg i love this song!!!!!!!!!!

  • love it!.... love idina

  • I love it

  • i have seen wicked on tour, and twice on broadway [once with idina and once with eden] but this is so diffrent !

  • dat looks like Idina....? im confused hehe

  • thats idina.

  • wow i love this song its sooooooo kl does any1 else share my love 4 wicked or am i a loner?

  • anoo i love it

  • i love it t!

  • this video is pretty out of sync, but its still pretty good. I do like Kristin Better. IDINA MENZEL ROCKS!

  • its kinda funny how idena menzel played elphaba in NYC and london and how galinda was different

    i liked krsiten chenoworth better

  • i kinda like annaleanes voice in this song but i like kristen better

  • OMG! I love this song!

i'm even doing this song with my best friend for the talent show! maybe even the rally @ school!

  • love this song......they have GREAT voices!

  • luv it

  • I mean't Annalene Beechey by the way...Sorry I'd just been watching another video with Helen in it!

  • Idina is amazing as always! Hellen Dallimore deserves a lot of credit though! Most people recognise Kristin Chenoworth as Glinda, and Hellen has to step into those shoes! I like the contrast between the American and English accents...Tis good!

  • its glinda the good not good WITCH i suppose its becos tehy r both witches but still its meant to be just glinda the good xx

  • *THUMBS UP*

    so nice *o*

  • kristin and idina SOOO MUCH BETTER!!!

idina is amazing in this ...totally not the same without kristin

  • oo yeahh

  • 1:48 - 1:50

    LITTLE BEEP xD

  • I love Idina Menzel!! She has such a strong and powerful voice, I'm glad she was able to reprise her role as Elphaba for the U.K. version.

  • Haha it could work...let's pretend Elphie went to some posh British boarding school. :) Good job London cast. Still, gotta say Kristin Chenoweth & Idina made Wicked happen! Can't replace that voice & acting chemistry. ;)

  • that is indina

  • mee 2. i thought b4 that that british girl wuz idina (my frind is in HUUUGE trouble)

  • idina blows the other lady away! U.S. rox!!!!!!

  • its sooooooooooooo the OTHER WAY AROUND!!! i hate idina.

  • no no no IDINA IS AMAZIN!! HAVe U NOT SEEN DEFYIN GRAVITY WIT HER SINGIN..?? SENDS SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE!!

  • ohohoh the women which is galinda here... i don't like her... she has a beautiful voice but she's not really acting. i'm glad they didn't choose her -.-*

  • i agree
