@vancecoledotcom My Vales are "loose" and will be readjusted tomorrow so they are abnormally loud right now, but i'd say my valve lash is on par with his in terms of sound when adjusted. I run a y7 block with a y8 head though and a cam so of course it will sound way dif ;)
supersport. pay close attention with the head swap the z6 cam sits a tad lower than the b7 and youll have to use the z6 timing belt. also get a steel z6 head gasket for it. using the b7 head gasket on higher compression will just cause you a headache down the road. also the z6 cam pulley sits about 3mm farther towards the drivers side than the timing pulley. it will work but those are things to watch out for. in my experience atleast. BBiker14 it looks good and it sounds good man keep it up
@eduardosantacruz 95 doesn't have vtec prewired. only 92's you have to pin the harness's and add the wires on the engine harness side and the ecu side.
hi i was woundering if u might be able to help me i have a project its a d15 block and was woundering if new if the d16 head will fit on there and i would still be able to use the original pistons that the stock d15 came with and also the d15 is a non vtec but want to convert it with the d16 head if u can get back to me as soon as u can that would be a great help thxs
you need the block which is about 150-up and the head can cost 100-up you also need a P28 ecu computer soo thats about 100-150 you looking around 500 put it but its not a hard thing to do the head fits right on the block from 1-5 5 being the hardest i say a 3 of course its not that bat really
if you already got the non vtec block in your car then all you need is the vtec head and ecu witch you can find pretty cheap, and you would need the vtec solinoid and all the other crap if you actually want vtec to pop in properly
My uncle can hook me up because he is a honda guy he can give me a vtec head and he does some shit n you can turn on the vtec by button like if it was n20 or sumtin but it turns on the v-tec by button
yeah you could do that to, just wire the button up to the ecu really. i dont know much about wiring and the ecu so i wouldnt know what i would be doing if i did that hahah
Right now im working on my ef but not v-tec single cam with a shaved head, port n polish and intake done, but i have two motors so on the other one idk if i should go turbo on it idk im still thinking about it
if your mini-ing the other motor, thats raising compression and turbos need low compression, just put some forged low compression pistons in there and forged rods and you should be good
can i stick a civic engine in my mk4 golf! :D

@Sawbonespc
He didn't say anything about any aftermarket cam in his car in the description

will a d16z6 be an easy swap for a 95 civic with a d15b7, and a manual 5 speed transmission?
i've been told that all you need to do is hook up a VTEC wire that's already in the harness

Yes, it will work fine. All D motors are compatible with each other.

@BBiker14
nut if u want vtec to work you need to remove oil jet between pistons.

SoUr2PaTcH3 2 years ago
