This really touched me. This poem is on the home page of the uk selective mutism site and honestly represents the struggles that me and other affected persons of selective mutism go through every single day. Because selective mutism it is really making people prisoners of words. Our words capture us and envelope us making us sucumb to a deeper want to be alone. Amazing. I'm using it for a school project that I have to do. This was bsolute brilliance.
