Actually to be technical correct only the Snark was a "cruise" missile as it was to be used against based targets. The BOMARC was a SAM to be used against Russian aircraft fleets. BOMARC stands for Boeing and Michigan Aeronautical Research Center, in case you are interested. You can see old BOMARC launch sites if you go to google earth and look at Vandenberg AFB.
@bluenail90 your are right the V1 was a cruse missile, if not the fist, close to it. While V1's range was only several hundred miles. the Snark's range was intercontinental as evidenced by the one found in Brazil.
Only the test articles were equiped with skid. Production missiles were not fitted with them. Interesting story about the Snark: During testing, one of them was lost, presumably in the ocean someplace. It was discovered many years later in the Brazilian jungle!
