@mattkhadem from what i've heard - when coming very close to the 0 mark, the quartz lock assumes your close enough and locks in the pitch. by removing the quartz lock this allows you more fine tuning when closer to 0 without any quartz lock hassle. in all, really kind of a pointless mod unless your picky like me lol. and then you have to recalibrate the pitch after which is such a pain, i should have honestly left the quartz lock alone lol.
@WaxDat8800 i can't remember the website, but i did a little bit of searching and found the same ones on a site for you. qualityelectronics(dot)net - do a search for 'technic 1200 black pitch decal'
@djsirk ever used butter rugs ? I was wondering how they compare to your tablecloths... was gonna got butterrugs but was told tablecloths are just as good. What you reckon ?
@fatshoolaces i've used butter rugs before as well. to me, there was a lot of static that occurred while using them and given i was also using newer vinyl.. it just seems that when i pulled the record off the butter rug came with it. i didn't have that problem with the cloths. other than that, they are both winners in my book. i just prefer the cloths :D
You can get em on ebay for 19 bux for all the LEDs. You can even get a platter LED to go under the platter and light up the entire outter rim of the platter, Ill post mine up soon.
And as for removing the pitch bearing, ya I did that too, I hate the click.
why remove the quartz lock, does that not keep the mix in sync?
