  • Discussions on M/F differences are great when they help promote understanding and peace between sexes. But what's the point of this vid? To tell women that no matter how beautiful or great you are, your man will be still ogling other women and will even lust after mannequins? which gives even more reasons to be jealous and unhappy knowing that it's not just your fears - he's actually aroused by every single pretty woman he sees. This can do nothing but harm to relationship.

  • Over simplified.

  • I cannot but disagree with this. I'm a man.I work out a lot. I've got a sculptured body, but not the one of a bodybuilder but the one of an athlete. When i wear a tight-fitting shirt girls stare at me, smile at me and sometimes give me compliments. It has been very easy for me to get a girl because girls ask me out quite often.

  • Wow...this is the MOST OBVIOUS lecture I've ever seen.

  • I think it has a lot to do with the fact that being a sexy woman is a lot easier than a sexy male. The shapes that a woman needs to have to be sexy are in a curved fashion and that can be done even with a degree of fat. In man that is totally different . Men need to have defined muscle, like a sculpture, and that is very hard to reach. If you look at top 100 sexy men and women you will notice that place 100 and place 1 in women aren't that far apart or even look just as good. Not the case in men.

  • this is a sexist video .. sorry but i prefer one night with leo di caprio.. for his personality ??? oh come on ¡ ... i am a woman i love to see naked and hot men it turns me on and why in the womens magazines we found handsome men .... women want a big dick great eyes and great abs

  • so who are you trying to educate ? women have known this since the beginning of time - the real story is men are such egotistical fools that they think a women is showing them their skin because they want them - no, the prostitutes of old and of today merely want the man's money. wake up men...

  • I agree with Dennis that this is the case generally, but he speaks too broadly, in my opinion. He disregards gay women and gay men, and the straight males and straight females who do not fit into the mould that Dennis says all males and females fit into.

  • how do blind men fit into this? just curious.

  • @gallerycabaret Watch "Scent of a Woman." ;)

  • @EliteDarknessScyther Maybe it was the wrong girl. You see every woman is different.Women aren't all attracted to the same type ya know. This board is rediculous and so is Prager-he hates women,he's oppressive.Ciao from here.

  • @cubicaljane "Oppressive" My ass. That's the excuse ALL women use when a man says something about women they don't agree with. "OH HE SAID SOMETHING BAD ABOUT US SO HE HATES WOMEN!! SHAME ON HIM!!!"

  • @EliteDarknessScyther Prager wants a certain social order that is the 50's.I'm a woman,I know Prager is wrong.I know who IAM no one else does.Women are visual! Deal with it ! gawd!

  • @cubicaljane I doubt you know Dennis as well as you suppose.

  • @Pomiferous I know about him only too well.He has views about the sexes that the Christian right has.I'm a woman and I KNOW HE"S WRONG. Women get aroused...guys deal with it pleasse! He wants status quo thinking of the far right.Women look at men's bodies the SAME WAY it's just that he hasn't seen really gorgeous men around I guess in his neighborhood!

  • @cubicaljane And the lefties want to instill a future they have all picked out for us.No worries though, unlike all previous generations they know better.

  • @Pomiferous I'm not a lefty.I'm simply saying Prager is wrong about women. Some guys I guess find it offensive to think women might view them in a sexual way.

  • @cubicaljane That's a little odd.If you were not a lefty why would you be mentioning concern over "far right, status quo, christian thinking" ? Is there some sort a neutral, bland, gray area in between the two.You know it is the left that insists there is no basic distinctions between males and females. With some sort of universal humanity, identity card instead.

  • @Pomiferous Because the middle is concerned about the far right as much as the left. And it's the far right that doesn't believe people are individuals. This is supposed to be a FREE country but not anymore since everyone is in a narrow boxed in gender mold. It's annoying. These constructs about gender are against individual freedom.

  • @cubicaljane That is also interesting. You must have quite a few issues you disagree with the left on in order to be camped out in the middle. The left is much more into identification of people according to race, gender, color, creed and sexual identity.I think the right sees people very much as individiuals.Just without many intitlements owed to them just for being present.I just heard a teacher say she was instructed saying good morning boys and girls was now taboo.Another PC freedom move?

  • @Pomiferous That is about rights. The left is interested in pushing for rights the right like you makes generalizations based on sterotypes to impose a social order. This belief that men are more visual is part of a social order agenda. The Christian fundies believe women are less visual because Adam was the head of the two. There is always an agends in social reductionism.

  • @cubicaljane So; what rights are the middle interested in pushing ? If I agreed with the right on 70% of issues.Claiming I was in the middle and neutral would be inaccurate.

  • Women are not as sexually visual as men; don't believe me? Type "Hot men" or something similar in the search engine and then "hot women" and then click the button right next to the views, also known as the video statistics. For most, if not all, of these videos they're popular with males.

  • @ProfessorMcBadass Women are but men can't hadle it.It's a way to dominate women.Women have been brainwashed to be non sexual.

  • Is Dennis going to shill for burqa use? Tribes in equatorial regions often don't wear a damn thing. I doubt that the men walk around all day in a constant state of arousal. It's all what your used to. The more repressed a society is, the more the reaction.

  • This is ridiculous. Sure there's not adds with mens legs but there's countless adds with their arms, abs, backs. Abercrombie and Fitch adds mostly depends on sexualizing males. You've never seen a group of giggling girls before pointing out guys they find sexy? Girls are brought up to try and restrain their libidos; just because most women don't express it as much doesn't mean they're not fantasizing about how the guy in front of them would look shirtless.

  • @julia3920 Trust me, you're a chick. You have no idea how easy it is to get a boner. I can get a boner just from seeing a female. It's EXTREMELY STRONG. It's instinctive, it's natural, it's HARDWIRED INTO OUR BRAINS. There's no comparison with women.

  • @EliteDarknessScyther Read a book about FEMALE anatomy pleaseee. You might be amazedf how women get aroused in the same way but you can't see it...duh! Guys are so afraif of sexual women.

  • @julia3920 "if you know the science behind it you would know that, for the most part- it is accepted that men ARE more visual than women.

'Studies generally show that men on average place greater emphasis on physical attractiveness than women do, with women being more attracted to personality-based traits by comparison.'

Further- doesn't Prager's evidence of the volume of porn being much higher among men vs. women also support the hypothesis that men are more visually aroused?" (iBegToDiffer)

  • @Marlowann - Not this woman. I LOVE fine-looking men...

    ( :

  • @Marlowann we are not blind ok ? and Im sorry but i prefer to date with a hansome man with a great body than a fat ulgy one with a great personality .. and you know scientist almost all of them are men

  • @rosie2900 Alright, please point out to me where I said "Women never care about a man's looks." Please, do show me.

Oh right, you can't, cause I NEVER SAID THAT. I mean damn you say you're not blind, but either you are blind and you got a braille keyboard, or you just can't read. Cause I sure as hell never said women don't like fine looking men

  • @julia3920 That is exactly what has happened.Women have been brought up to work against sexuality. And when one brings in the double standarrd,it stops women from thinking it's ok to feel sexual. When a woman is called names or the threat of it,she might feel looking is bad but it's good.

  • @cubicaljane

From what I see, women don't seem to have a problem "feeling sexual" nowadays. My wife and I went to the mall looking for a long skirt for an event, couldn't find one. They were all to short. She kept holding up these things to me and saying she couldn't believe anyone would wear them.

  • @julia3920 i agree with you

  • Jimmy27;

I agree w Dennis but u have good points

  • what about blind men? what's hot for them?

  • @lovellespice Feelings, smells, and sounds.

  • watch at 2:44 when the background text hides behind dennis's neck.. "there's not anal among women" .. I know.. asinine.. couldn't help but "look" thought.. and I'm a woman..

  • @lovellespice It says "analong"

  • Dennis Prager has NO BUSINESS telling women they're not visual. How arrogant

can anyone get! WOMEN ARE VISUAL.PERIOD.I know because I'm a woman.I'm so sick of this ,as a woman I find this video insulting to the core!

  • @rad7610884 It's all over YT this woman hating stuff.I left a comment on your

channel.I'm telling these fools how women are as sexual but they refuse to believe me.Get back soon!

  • @rad7610884 I'm thinking why all these men are telling women

    we are sexless.It's so annoying.

  • As I read the comments by so many women, I realize just how correct Dennis is. I'm sure that the women that wish to make the point that men and women are the same in this regard are women that have been fully indoctrinated by the lies of feminism.

  • @4thOfSeven Eyes don't lie,and women have them too.Worst of all is when somebody is a woman, and the world is telling you you're not visual.WOMEN ARE JUST AS VISUAL.Women lie because some think it's unfeminine to look.

  • @4thOfSeven You people are all over YT.Seems most people on YT believe your

    crap.

  • @4thOfSeven god i know all those lies about feminism eh? I mean all that bullshit about equality. Obviously you men understand us women much more than we do ourselves.

  • Women ARE visual.Prager needs to stop recycling old Mars and Venus bunk.

  • @9191 If America is a "free" country it must be free in individuality as well.Anyone saying women aren't visual is taking away freedom of individuals.Sterotypes only cause more misunderstandings.

  • Yes this is our nature. But be a gentleman and control it.

  • Hey Cerulena1;

    Thanks for the compliment;

    Mike Rowe

  • Cerulena1;

    Hey thanks for the compliment-

    Mike Rowe

  • Prager overstates the idea of women's minimal visual/physical attraction towards men. And, more than anything else, I believe it's wishful thinking on his part.

  • man women should reeeeeeeeally listen to this! ESPECIALLY teens!!!!

  • Any dude w/ ugly legs like in this video women aren't' going to find sexy. I am female & when I see a man who looks as good as, say, Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs, I fall into a trance staring. My jaw is on the ground when I behold the sexiness that is Mike Rowe. So is my Mom's! I have a photo of him wearing boxers on my computer desktop. On Lost, I practically pant staring at Josh Holloway. Sorry, guys, but we do stare! The couple of sexy men I work with? As they walk down the hall, oh yeah, I stare!

  • @ceruleana1 Prager is afraid of women looking at men. Some men are so insecure as to believe women aren't visual because it takes controll away from men.I agree totally good post! :)

  • @rad7610884 Exactly, rad - thank you :-)

Men, I love you, but you are fooling yourselves if you think that women aren't visual! Why do you think it's so easy for the young good-looking guys to get laid? Hello!! Sorry, guys, women are very visual!

  • @ceruleana1 No one asks women. It's like some men are afraid of women being real instead of some pure angel.Women are just as visual plus I don't see any reason for men to believe women aren't unless it's from fear.Rad :)

  • Here is something to add to the pot. So powerful that the female form does not necessary have to be real to visually simulate us. As I thought about it and notice there other examples of female flesh, not real, can stimulate men, for example, the Orion slaves women of Star Trek, Anime cat girls, Jessica Rabbit, Betty Boop to WWII Bomber Nose art and Pin up girl posters.

  • Jeff Foxworthy said it well. "You [Women] want to know what we're thinking?"

"Here it is.. are you ready?"

"I want a beer and I want to see something naked"

    "That's it"

  • good thinking here, let's have a great convo but no flaming...another great video.

  • I like Prager I even pay for the internet sub to his radio show though I am not conservative (center). But honestly he hypes the hell out of these videos and to me this is pretty basic unimpressive stuff. I mean he says "Give us 5 minutes and we will give you a SEMESTER [of wisdom]." SO far I have to say its more like 5 minutes gives me 35 minutes....

  • @forestskog On this particular topic it's very much a case of stating the obvious.

  • I think you should re-read the tile of this video. Men and the power of the visual. First word "Men" he is talking about the male sexual nature. Why if there are hundreds and hundreds of books on male/female relationships would you expect a 5 min. video to explain even what hundreds of authors before him have taken years and decades to figure out. And the funny thing is we, men annd women, still have no idea about what the other wants.

  • *as, not than

  • Does this guy not realize that women can look at other women and like them? I'm female, and I can get just as turned on by an attractive woman than a man can. This guy is the one who needs to be enlightened, not me.

  • @checkoutlinejunk Yes, he actually does. Listen to his radio show.

  • He is talking generalities here. And generally it is true.

  • No, he's talking stereotypes.

  • This female author DOES fantasize about mens thighs, but not random men or strangers, as men would do about women. I wholly agree w/ Dennis that women's sexual arrousal is SO not like mens. And young women (especially)have no respect for men's sexuality. They are clueless how much they are saying "available for sex" when wearing revealing clothes. They think they look "cute" or even "hot", but they have no idea that a guy (young guy most especially) is just vizualizing sexual activity.

  • Author? Cool. I thought the shortest best summary I've heard to date re the diff men/women arousal is: 'Men are like light switches. Women are like volume knobs'

  • Well, this female author does fantasize about men, INCLUDING men I don't know. There is not a huge difference between men and women's sexuality and arousal. It's society that has refused to acknowledge women's lust in order to keep perpetuating benevolent sexism through myths that make women with normal sex appetites "sluts" and "whores".

The man in this video doesn't know he's talking about; end of story.

  • COJ (that's quite some username, BTW. What does it mean?),

Are you a college student? And if so, did you study this subject? And if so, which courses were the most influential?

  • I didn't realize I needed a degree in women's studies to know whether or not I fantasized about men sexually. Either you are naive or you're attempting to devalue my comments by attacking my social class and level of education. I don't find either of those surprising, given the insanity of this man's arguments.

  • You sure are angry, hostile, and quick to hurl out insults, COJ. And you don't think very clearly, either.

Nothing I wrote suggested you needed a degree. I merely asked you. On the contrary, a degree in women's studies would distort your perceptions even more. But no doubt, you have learned from people who have gone down that road. Such ideas don't come naturally from living real life.

And the video is specifically about the role of the visual in men, not sexual fantasies per se.

  • O.k., well, COJ, how about we just summarize your thesis, and leave it at that:

    1) You think that "the visual" is every bit as powerful in women as it is in men.

    2) Any thoughts to the contrary are "insane."

    3) Any thoughts to the contrary are caused by society wanting to perpetuate "benevolent sexism."

    4) You can't distinguish between "the visual" and other forms of sex appeal.

Does that summarize your opinion well?

  • On the contrary, He knows exactly what he is talking about.. lol

& ofcourse there is a huge difference..

    You just don't fully comprehend.

I say again.. You just don't FULLY comprehend it.

    Silly lady. =]

  • @HolyTriX Women are just as visual but some men can't take it.

  • @rad7610884 Are you kidding? im a man and would love to believe that women were as visual as men.It would be a huge turn on,but most women just wont tell the truth about it and it gives guys like Dennis prager feul for the fire of misconception.I believe women are very visual, look at Rudolph valentino they couldnt even hear his voice yet he drove women insane with deilight.

  • @jimmy27paul Women are their own worse enemies.I wish more women would admitt to looking at men.One of my friends has a channel with old time movies and she has vids of Valentino. She now is doing MJ but she still as the other vids.Much of this started with John Gray then it started to infest society like a disease.

  • @rad7610884 Your exactly right, even the examples he gave when he said "theres no women who fantasises about mens thighs" well obviously.Women are attracted to other parts of men like shoulders, chest, arms, face even neck, hands, eyes etc etc.I know this and im not gay but its commom knowledge. Scientists have discovered that women are even turned on by sounds like if a man sings in certain tone or a really passionate speech etc, this also excites some women.

  • @jimmy27paul Lots of women are not crazy about musculat

men though. It's a myth pretty much.I prefer thin not muscular

or stocky. There's also a little sterotyping in the tests because

of the way women are brought up to go for muscular.A cultural

thing but yes Prager has to rethink many things.Prager thinks

like some of these born again pastors about women.

  • @cubicaljane I didnt mean bodybuilders and i know what your saying.Obviously women would be attracted to the male physique and different types of physique. For if there not then this guy is right, women really arent visual. But i know they are very visual the problem is women just wont tell the truth about what they really like and this adds to the misconceptions.

  • @jimmy27paul lol! It's so much on TV about women liking them.

You're right.I think it's because women have been taught by

society or horrible parenting skills to not be honest with themselves

about this subject. It's frustrating when I know these women aren't being honest

with me when I ask them if they're visual. They seem to be very shy about telling

me.Sometimes the psychologists they see have sterotypes about women so

    they never get help.

  • @jimmy27paul if you know the science behind it you would know that, for the most part- it is accepted that men ARE more visual than women.

"Studies generally show that men on average place greater emphasis on physical attractiveness than women do, with women being more attracted to personality-based traits by comparison."

Further- doesn't Prager's evidence of the volume of porn being much higher among men vs. women also support the hypothesis that men are more visually aroused?

  • @HolyTriX Just like you could never FULLY comprehend how women are visually sexual?

  • @checkoutlinejunk Wow...you got your facts mixed up. I agree with DonTruman on this argument about "woman being just as visual".

  • well this power is abnoxious to us women, when they act on it.

  • Great beacon of truth in a world of 'feminist dogma'... Only a committed left-winger who believes that women and men are basically the same (ie: college liberal arts professor) would disagree with this video.

  • @mrsurfplay I am not a feminist and I agree with many things Mr. Prager says, however, he is fooling himself if he thinks that women are not visual. Women are JUST as visual as men. It's a fact that a lot of men don't want to admit.

  • Thanks Dennis,

Another great lesson! To hear more check out Dennis' "male female hour" each week. I'm married 42 years, and my hubby still looks at other girls -- sometimes I even point them out to him.

    Jo Anne Fogarty

  • Are you a mess? Maybe if you tidied yourself up a bit you're hubby's gaze wouldnt wander. It is a woman's DUTY to look her best for her man.

    Best!

  • I think men tend to see a distinction between Beauty and Sexiness., Beauty meaning "attractivness" which I think is what women see in men ( attractivness or beauty of strength) as opposed to SEXINESS meaning "wanting to have sex with the person" This sex drive is weaker in most women due to chemical diffrences they are more arroused by touch emotion etc. while men are arroused by the visual , the form, seeing the womans body as something to masturbate himself with not seeing the beauty.

  • I think if men think about it they can think of a few purely beatiful celebrity women that they could enjoy just looking at because of there beauty , and other women who are extremley sexy (i.e. men want to have sex with them) but are not particularly Beatiful and may even be sort of plain? though most women are some combination of the two. So maybe its the testerone ? Women should not take it personally when there husbands look at other women they see them as well shaped objects thats all.

  • Dont put the cart before the horse. If we are comparing oranges to apples, I dont want any part. sexiness and beauty are not one in the same or even mutually exclusive.

  • Maybe we just have prettier legs... ;)

  • One thing that men and women DO have in common is that all cogent thought shorts out when we climax. If a woman is climaxing and she's still forming words and sentences, she's FAKING it!!!

  • This is so true!!!

  • Dennis, there is also a Biblical aspect in the Genesis account at the end of Chapter 2. Notice Adam's reaction to Eve when he first sees her.... "flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone."

Adam's statement set the tone for all men.

  • The Man Legs magazine picture was hilarious! I can't even imagine such a thing would arousing to gay men?!

  • This is why I can look at Kristen Powers all day and not hear a word she has said. oink.

  • howardz43, Exactly

  • I figured most of this out early in life, also. Women used to know it as well. That such things need to be publicly explained nowadays, is due to the brainwashing effects of the feminism stemming from the 1960s counterculture.

  • I love the good work Dennis! I'm a hard core fan I listen everyday and my day is not complete without my 3hrs of prager. on a side note i think its sad today that he has to say things like this; ever since i was younger i figured this out and noticed the difference between men and women. I'm not trying to gloat but this is common sense. Again Good work Mr.Prager

  • Bravo Dennis. I can't wait for your book to come out. I bought your tapes on male sexual nature...one word....excellent. I wish everyone 16 and older could hear them, it would save so many marriages.

  • Absolutely superb, Dennis! I've shared this with all of my female friends!!!

  • This guy is the wisest man living today.

Everyone should listen to his show!

  • Great as always!

  • From Dennis' male/female hour I learned that when my husband checks out another woman, he is not comparing her to me (for that is the fear - that he prefers her over me). Women make comparisons like that, not men. No, when he is checking her out, the thought of me doesn't even cross his mind. And somehow that makes me feel better...

  • "I learned that when my husband checks out another woman, he is not comparing her to me"

    Totally correct.

Women are so self-critical, they believe men are equally so and internalize everything we think about. Well, when our hard-wiring programs us to take notice, the last thing in the world we're doing at the same time is personalizing or thinking on any other level than that which served our pre-civilized needs well.

We aren't imagining a new relationship. That's what feminine glances do.

  • Ha! But I bet your hub already told you that himself many times and you didn't accept it till Dennis said it! Plus when he checks out that other girl he is simultaneously thinking of his car and sports etc., not exclusively the girl, it's just that at that moment in timet he girl is what he is using his eyes for.

  • I never met a woman who didn't understand this about men. I think females already understand this about males perfect well already. In fact most women I have known including female relatives OVER-estimate the impact of the visual on males. To the point they think it outweighed every other factor, when of course it does not. Women work on their looks because it is less challenging to them than growing good character.

  • It is far more likely that men will overestimate the impact of the visual on women.

  • Tony, I know many women who don't understand at all how powerful the visual image of women is on most men.

  • I wish you hadn't left out detail. I think there's plenty women don't get about the male brain, just that this is not one of them. Males are more likely to rubberneck when there's a pile-up in the expressway too. When I look at a girl a female friend/relative will wonder is it her hair? her face? her boobs? When to me it is usually an overall impresseion that makes me look longer. So they get the isolated parts concept. I will for example see the boobs first then if the face and legs are -->

  • ---> good too I will look lonoer. If not, that's it. Men tend to over-estimate the impact of a visual physical detail on their attractiveness to a woman.

A guy will think my hairline is too receding or I'm too short and the girl will gawk anyway. I'm no male model and regularly hotties and non-hotties teens up will gawk or flirt. They are obviously going on the visual because it is the only info they hav about me. But not because i'm an assemblage of perfect parts.

  • So utterly true, Mr. Prager, and clearly explained as you often do.

I LOVE the example images in the video, with the guys turning their heads. Oh, so amusingly real.
