more then 800 dpi is a marketing thing

if you wanne try real 800 dpi. change your windows sense to 6 and your mouse to 800.

@1337fridayyy wrong. It doesn't really matter how much dpi it is. It matters what kind of sensor is has. Razer has laser 3g/4g sensors. Logitech mx518 is optical. Laser = No laser light. Optical = Light

you need to look at it like that:

if you got the mouse ant 6000 and you move it one inch it moves 6000 dots.

at 800 it moves 800. so with 6000 you cant recht points like 1600 dots. with 800 you can. :)

at mm it's the same thing :)

I used to use about 2500dpi, but found myself slacking and I wasn't able to get headshots like I expected, so I trained myself for the higher 4000dpi, and now I'm much better.

Yeah, pretty much comes down to personal preference. I used to play @ 1600 dpi for a while aswell but somehow after a few months it just didnt feel comfortable anymore. All that matters is that you can comfortably play your fav. games :)!

In my opinion the Dpi is really nonsense, !st of all cranking a dpi that high causes you to lower your in game sensitivity to 0.01 so its not any faster. Its also a known fact that MOST pro gamers will swear by using a 450 dpi setting.

@fearfrozen75 With high DPI, it's not primarily to adjust the speed of the mouse. Gamer protocol is to set the hardware DPI to the max, and then set the software DPI low... Hence, accuracy and sensitivity. The higher than DPI, the more accurate you can be, assuming you've got a decent mousepad.
