I don't know why people hated this film as much as they did and do, I'm quite a film critic and though there are many things, not necessarily flaws but certain aspects, that I can see being a turn off, I loved it.
It's highly stylized and it caters to several audiences, I think. I loved the music and the costumes and even the acting, which was all done with a certain twist to it. Accurate? Not exactly. Does it make it's point, does it entertain? I think so. It's a film, not a documentary.
Such a nice tune; too bad some of your nice pictures are not hi-quality, they are very nice, none-the-less.
.
That dear neighbour was also my tenant; being a tenant I had gotten to know her more than had if I had only been her neighbour.
.
She was very happy and excited about living in the gay neighbourhood of Sydney, Australia; she had a very nice room which had a direct view of the Mardi Gras parade.
This movie pretty much exceeded my expectations, since a lot of critics said it wasn't too great. I find it fascinating! The music blends surprisingly well with the 18th century setting too.
LOVE IT!!!! Music and pictures are beautiful and so r u for posting this!!!! I grew up listing to Siouxsie & even saw her in concert when I was a teenager.
did ne1 ever find the choice of "hong kong" garden a strange soundtrack for a movie about Marie Antoinette? either way this is the sickest version of the song evr
well it's obviously not in the rococo era is it dear, don't try to be clever. I've heard someone say the exact same thing, have you even seen the film, I guess not.
@hayamatsuka Firstly... the movie was made in 2006, which made Hong Kong Garden a 29 year old song. Hardly something to which teenagers would show any interest.
As for being clever, no need when you have an audience who has no concept of subtlety or wit.
As for the film, I've forgotten more things about HM Archduchess Maria Antonia Josepha Von Habsburg than most people know - why bother with an abysmally pale sensationalist movie that catered to fantasy rather than fact.
look girl, boy what ever you are. This was made for teenagers, they did this movie Because mary antoinette was foolish, even though she was young and she didn't have a clue what she was doing. like teenagers are now, well some can be naive and stupid, that's why they picked her so it could be a teen movie. they used this music in a ballroom scene to capture the essence of teenagers now. maybe you should re think of what you said and next time you don't need to be so cocky.
@hayamatsuka - Dear incredibly bright, witty and worldly person...
Rather than continually making assumptions, I suggest you check your facts before you continue to demonstrate your ignorance on a public stage. The person you refer to as Marie Antoinette was born the Archduchess Maria Antonia Josepha Von Habsburg Lothringen.
I'm not saying she wasn't born to them, god do you expect everyone to be a walking encyclopaedia. anyway what I said about capturing the essence of teenager life, was right. you obviously take films to seriously. bye my dearest friend.
Hey! Thank you for first comment! Yeah I wish I could make the pictures more clear :(
I have a very slow computer and all I can do are slideshows :( I'm sorry I don't know about the picture. I don't think that it's Antoinette. I just liked it alot so I used it! Thanks again!

Modern Music? Something recorded in 1977 is considered "modern?"
