@xterra43 I agree! $31,000 is a very hefty price for the XTERRA 4ProX. I Got my 2011 for $28K. But it's still a great SUV. Unfortunately, most new vehicles that are highly desirable are just priced so far out of reach for more and more working class Americans. But at least, I'm in the lucky enough salary bracket to afford mine. I was on vacation in London this past summer. I was just amazed at all the $385,000 Rolls and Lambos' I saw. What do people do for a living to afford vehicles like that?

I was planning to buy the Fj Cruiser but after looking at several videos i found that Xterra is much practical and powerful than the FJ or what do you think?
Good video. I just Drove the 2011 Green Pro 4, and it was a real nice ride. A big difference between the Xterra S and the Pro 4. Even the seats in the Pro are 100 times better. I think I will but it soon... lol Going Green.....
@taleel22 i'm in same delema here...what i've read is that the pathfinder is a suv that wants to perform good on road and off..but trying to do so it does'nt do that good on either...basicly they are the same trucks but X offers hardcore offroading, pathfinder offers 7 seats. thats how i see it...desicions, decisions...
@taleel22 we ended up getting a pathfinder sv at 0% instead of the Xterra s at 5% wich was costing more in the end with taxes and all...can't wait til this thursday....white path comes home for at least a decade!
very nice colour in the night armor but the let down is the tires the bfg rugged fails really need to stop being sold compared to other tires in its class it's definitely no winner
@PritchardHallHokie I love my Xterra. No problems to report so far. It's very capable off road and on. It seems to be getting better milage now that it is broken in. I was able to rescue my mother off a major interstate during a blizzard last Januarey that had thousands of other vehecles stuck. So far so good. I'm having a tow package installed this week and now I'll start towing stuff. I love towing. :-)
@davespiegal Hey, there. No. I'm going to keep my Xterra pretty much stock without any modifications. As far as the laws governing off-road lights, check with your state police. As I said in my video, it is highly illegal in some states to even drive with off-road lights un-covered.

My 2011 Xterra doesn't squeak at all but is very solid and quiet. @itchysp No, there is no inclinometer on the Xterra. That's what the device that measures hill grade steepness is called. I remember the Mitsubishi Monterro used to have one years ago. Would be nice though.

Great video, love the xterra's. Signed all the paperwork for an 05 off road and three days later the dealership said that the bank actually unaccepted the loan. I'll have to wait for a few more years I guess. where is the subwoofer located? also the hill decent is also hill ascent as well. keeps the brakes applied while you change from brake to gas. I'm with jemimaru about the off road videos.

@Jemimaru Hey, thank you for the great complements. You should get the Xterra if you truly need the utility. This is a great SUV, but it sucks gas! I'm warning you! Gas is back in the $3+ range again and your wallet will feel it. I got mine because I do need the 4X4 to get to work in snow storms and to do outdoor stuff like remote mountain biking and to reach my favorite gun range. Please also know that the Xterra is not intended to be luxurious and yes, it does have a plain interior.

How bright are those off road lights? I just drove one just like yours, i loved it. my goal is to buy it in the middle of this up coming summer.
