Can you multiplay with gbasp (via link cable)
Can you play it on gamecube (via gcn to gba cable)

You can multiplay but you need an adapter for the gameboy micro cable to attach to the GBA cable.
No you can't connect with gamecube, there is no adapter for that. Whenever you need to connect to the gamecube use a regular GCN - GBA cable

I've been wanting a brand new GBM but I can't seem to find ANY. Anyone who could tell me where to buy a brand new one, that'd be class! :)

the last time I saw a brand new one at walmart was march 2008. sorry but they stopped selling these mostly a year before they stopped selling GBASP
The best place to get a new one is ebay. For $50

the newer SP's have the brightness changer as well.

it has 4 levels of brightness but they are all very close to eachother (unlike DS lite)
You change brightness by turning volume up/down while holding down the L button. I always have it on lowest brightness though
