I can't believe your hair looks like that at 4 months!! It looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I love the full, messy, uneven, thick, vibrant loc look! Especially since I have thin hair. I just started my locs almost 3 months ago with double strand twists and now I'm thinking I should of backcombed because your progress is great!
Mine are uneven too but I like it! It gives them character and my hair looks layered (if that makes any sense)...I really like yours. Love your videos...so down to earth and helpful.
I really enjoy your vid's and I am about to get my second set of locs next week 6-14-10. I wanted to do them myself but i don't want them to be thin... Oh yea I like your tats as well. I am thinking about getting a half sleeve. I have fourteen so far.. Where you go to get your?
It was great meeting you, too! I remember it was really hard to find any info on locs; they weren't that popular when I first started out so the Youtube videos really helped me find my way through some CRAZY transitions. It was super cool to hangout with the artistic sole family. =o)
Anyway, I am always on the prowl for loc info/tutorials so the hair I was rocking was a tut from bronzegoddess01
I'm locing this summer! I'm so excited. Just hoping that they'll stay loc'd. I tried a few times before but they kept unravelling. Any suggestion on how to prevent that from happening in the future if you have kinky but softer hair?
@Joakimbrian1 - backcombing made them look short and raggedy (but I know it works for a lot of people). I heard about a 4-strand twisting technique that they do in the islands, but I haven't been able to find any clear info on it. If I could find someone to do it that way and it still won't stay loc'd I'll just have to accept that locing is not for me.
Your locs are coming along nicely...great job :-) I'm on my 2nd set too and I'm lovin' this journey even more than the first one. Cute doggie in the background...:-)
