  • @TheGreenMonkeyMHFC It's not the airlines that decide the winglets, it's the manufacturer. Eg: boeing, airbus, embraer... The older planes mostly don't have winglets, but some newer ones have what's called a raked wingtip. Basically, it performs the same task as a winglet with reduced drag.
