  • Ga Tan Son Nhat lol

  • what a loser!

  • what;s dickhead?

  • I'm using my son's login.

    Second and last trip.

Customs going in OK. Left Vietnam 9 days ago flying Vietnam Airlines. What a shit fight. Got stopped by customs checking hold luggage. Had cd's (not many) - nearly got charged for them. Got stopped at first hand luggage point. Had a gold buddha which cost about $150 AUD. Customs guy took my wife aside (she's Vietnamese) and pushed me way. Told her she had to pay $100 AUD. She got scared and only paid him $50 AUD. Never again to Vietnam.

  • These guys are daytime thieves. Worse is the fact that the money they collect enlarges their own personal accounts eventually, all in the name of "customs." It would be less insulting if they just post a sign up at the airport demanding money upfront. I will try to get the names of the Japanese investors of the airport. They would be very displeased that these practices are taking place in their investments. I bet enough protest from passengers will definitely curb some of these corruption.

  • "Attention passengers: Don't forget to pay customs the usual $20 (bribe) to ensure no "delays" or "visa problems" before you exist the airport with your luggages intact. Thanks for traveling with VietAir- come again."

  • the vietnamese customs don't bribery on the americans and dutch people. due to this is avoid the investigation from the outside. please don't come to vietnam, there is nothing attraction.

  • Most Vietnamese-Americans return to Vietnam only to see family members who are still in Vietnam. They would rather go to another country for touring, if they can, since it is closer and offers more. Since they have to travel to Vietnam, many customs officials do try to take advantage of the travelers- and it is very unfortunate. Hopefully, these corrupt thugs will see that it is not in their interests in the long run to cheat the passengers since it will ultimate affect their credibility.

  • i have mom dad and bro and sis r still live in vn. but I never go back in about 10 years. since the vn gov. taken the south -up until now, the gov. of vn can't event build the high way from saigon to camau. how can they could do anything else. this airport is used to belong to the former gov. of vn. they took it and just up grade. im watching them everyday to sêe what have they do to the ordinner people. and they still do nothing for people. i can't imagine them...

  • Expansion in Vietnam vastly exceeds the needs of populous communities. The infrastructure is so lagging because most of the money hardly get funneled into projects that would help the community as a whole. You see such as disparity between the rich and poor; more depressing is that the former is getting richer at the expense of the poor. I really hope competition from other countries would cripple the top echelon when the communist realize that a free ride comes at cost after all.

  • my sister check in for fly home to the usa and she had about 50 nail nippers- cuticle cutter, customs lady pushed her husband aside and took sister to a private rơom and said that sister is not allow to take the 50 nipper unless she willing paid 100 usd to the customs. some deal went on and the customs agree to bribery for $50 usd than let it go.

  • Next time your sister goes to Vietnam and this shit happens again, have her request for names, supervisor, etc. These thieves are afraid of accountability. If they know they are being identified, they will not act too quick to steal your money. I will try to write letters to the Japanese owners (investors) of that airport to report these types of malfeasance going on under their noses. Hopefully, this sort of publicity will hopefully straighten some of these crooks at the airport. No free rides.

  • you are too naive son...got a lot to learn about life in general!

  • what r u talking about? I DIDN'T GIVE THEM MONEY AND THEY GAVE Me A HARD TIME LIKE cut off my box of stuff, the bitch did it. I was so angry a lots. I am vietnamese but sometime I wonder the american treated us better than our own people, so I told to myseff that I am patriot to the usa. and that is why the american are smajrt people.

  • TOTALLY AGREE!!! :)

  • thank 4ur com, but im done with vietnam, there are many nices country in the worlds. why do i have to go back to the place like wietnam.? and guest what? the gov. of vn called the russian is their friend. but one in a while the russian people try to killed the vietnese student living in russia. and the gov. of vietnam always critic over americans and sometimes vietnamese news agent called the americans is are dictator. but americans never did such a to the vietnamese student livng in the usa.

  • next time, if u travel to vietnam put shit in a evelope and give to the customs people at the airport. they thinks theres money in there and they wont give u a hard time.

  • You should make a scene by raising your voice when they acted improperly. Some of my Vietnamese-American friends are very vocal at expressing their anger so folks are super careful not to say or do anything funny. Plus, it would be embarrassing for these customs officials when the entire airport listens in on what had happened- they only prey on the weak, and in this case, the timid.

  • thank you for ur advice!

  • may be they know how to spell "smart" too, yes?

  • The air port sure is a lot different than it was when i got there may 1966.

  • if you are Vietnamese, u should be ashame of ur self for not going back in that period of time

  • Yeah, i knew but when i ate at this place i was too hungry :)

  • Yes i knew when i eated there but i was hungry :D

  • I know this place ! And the "pho" is costly too ! But not too delicious!
