RE1 is way scarier when the zombies leave and the hunters appear. I wish they would have seen it. I don't think it's fair to say the begining is scary and but everything after is boring when they stopped maybe only an hour in.
I've only played REmake, but I think the analog stick works great. Given, it does take some getting used to. It kinda sounds like a cop out, but the controls and camera angles are what make the game scary. It wouldn't be fun if you were super agile and could easily dodge all around the zombies like some super soldier. So what might initially make the game frustrating is what really makes it great in the long run.
Yeah after RE4 the series just sort of hit the plateu effect and sunk.Raccoon City sounds cool as a TPS tactial shooter. But if they want to go back to the survival horror they should blend the classic with the over the shoulder like the new Silent Hill.Best of both worlds.
I still enjoy resident evil games. The problem with today's horror games is they fail to capture the survival aspect of it. Dead Space 1 & 2 acted like Resident evil 4 where enemies dropped bullets. You think losing the immersion cause of a pause menu is bad having a decaying monster drop bullets for your pistol does that for me a lot. If they make a game where survival is more of the gameplay factor instead of gunplay I think we could have a return of the survival horror genre.
I adore the original Resident Evil since it holds lots of nostalgia. I played it when I was 6 years old back when it came out and completed it. It legitimately scared the shit out of me back then because I was young. I miss the harrowing, eerie qualities of RE as it forced you to conserve ammo. While I like RE4, the new RE games are more action games than horror.
The only game to capture that brooding atmosphere this generation was Condemned for me.
residential evil 1,2,3 it's much better than RE4...

Of course Chris has less slots than Jill, he's a man.

@icetrey87 "I wonder how many slots she [Emily] has?"
"Three. Three. She has three."

I feel bad for Kessler's arms. If not for his underarm tits, they wouldn't have to flail around so often.

Kessler is like a young Jeff. xD

@TheZENbros
he's clearly formed his e-personality around Jeff and Ryan - mostly Ryan.
Steve may be a bit dull but at least he's himself.

Watch 1:00 to 1:23 and 2:07 to 2:17. That is pure Ryan Davis. Inflection, cadence, facial expressions, everything.
MrBlueStudy 6 months ago
@FISTFULOFMETAL Except for the whole "YEAH you did" which seems to be a Ryan thing. And Norm's "that's racist" as well.

Ya'know most people just avoid zombies and conserve ammo that way.

Genuine curiosity Kessler, but are you on the spectrum at all? The way you move, speak and articulate suggests you may be.

Love the idea of check ins. It's a lot easier to talk about a game when you're not worrying about being killed while you're chatting.
