this is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good how did you do this
Hi, I was part of the judging committee that judged the films for the Coraline contest. I must say that your film came very close to winning. It was really well done, the animation looked great, the topic was well covered and the sound was really well done. You have a great little film now and I look forward to seeing more.
castlegardener! We really appreciate it. Thank you also for the vote of confidence.
We realize that we're working with more basic materials and techniques (if our puppets break we just snap them back together and re-pose).
We're already thinking on our next film. And about Marc's suggestion that we do a "series" and develop some story as we go. So, as they say, stay tuned. :)
awesome

Okay, first thing: Breathe.
Second. We animate using a Logitech webcam and Stop motion Pro. It took a few weeks to do, and a lot of patience.
Beyond that I need more specific questions

Thank you also for setting-up the contest!

Surprising that you didn't win. . . But there were some simply amazing entries.

Thank you for saying so. And yes there was some serious skill at work in the contest. We're just simple toy-animators at present.
We won a contest with them last October (which was specifically for Stikfas animation). The winning movie was "The Mad Animator".

Thanks for replying. I'm glad your animation won a contest, and it really deserved it! I especially liked Carol of the old ones. Bye!

Wow! That was funny AND original! Very good. Good luck in the contest! :]

Thanks ever so much!
The judges are deliberating as I type this.
*giddy and stressed*

Omg! How did it go? (surely they have an answer by now...)
watchcloudspassmeby 2 years ago
Unfortunately we did not place in the top three. However I will post a separate comment with links to the winners.
I think we did a good piece, and even if we didn't win, we still have another film to show for it.
GodfreyTemple 2 years ago
Aw, it sucks you didn't win. Oh, well the movie was awesome and it was probably fun to make!
watchcloudspassmeby 2 years ago
These things happen. We were up against some seriously worthy competition.
But you can expect more from us in the not too distant future. Mainly because - YES it was fun to make!
GodfreyTemple 2 years ago
Awesome. It's cool one of the actual people for the Coraline contest commented on it! :]

I was surprised!
But It's nice to know that it was a near thing. We'll just work harder.
A good word from the judges is always a nice thing.

As always, awsome video. Very enjoyable. Peace.

Very Cool! I love the pipe cleaner fire! :)

Thanks! ^_^
Pipe cleaners is one of the few special effects we've mastered.
Now we kinda need to learn some more...

LMAO I'm laughing at you too for it! Can't say I blame Ignis. (Of course, with my luck, I'll end up with a sleeping foot of my own soon enough.)
This was quite a humorous little piece. The spooky music just added to it. XD Good luck in the contest you're entering this in! :D

Oh sure. Kick an animator when he's down.
Actually, it's a bit easier then. Isn't it?
Thanks! I posted it to the contest site just a few minutes ago. Now I have to post it to dA!
