@simopesh the UK does not legally allow people to have a knife- Bulgaria does. Mr Morov's gang members would have had knives too, but the police only searched one person (the one they already chose to blame it on).
@simopesh If, in the UK, you were walking around with a knife and you killed someone in self defence. You'd either go down for manslaughter from excessive self defence or (in this case) possession of a dangerous weapon. In the UK, Aus, etc. self defence (when justified) leads to an acquittal. Full stop!
This guy is OBVIOUSLY guilty. If the Bulgarians were the aggressers, HE would have been laying on the sidewalk with his head bashed in. And what foreigner walks around Sofia with a knife?!
@TomDavid88 Great legal reasoning there, lol. I agree he shouldn't have had a knife. But as for the first part of what you said, maybe it's because he had the knife and stabbed the guy that he wasn't to be found lying on the sidewalk with his head bashed in. Duh?? Anyway if there's any reasonable doubt, in a normal country (which also use juries not inquisitors), the accused is acquitted. And boy is there reasonable doubt
@trixwiz7 Well, I just read in The Sofia Echo yesterday that the Bulgarian courts have upheld his conviction and that this Left-Wing cocksucker will be spending the next twenty-some years in prison! He, he, he! He thought that he could just randomly attack Right-Wing guys and get away with it because he's a foreigner. And he was wrong!
@TomDavid88 Did you just get back from your Tea Party meeting or something? How does Sarah Palin's cock taste? He didn't randomly attack a gang of thugs, he stood up for someone being beaten up by thugs and in the altercation, unfortunately, someone was stabbed
@trixwiz7 No, this Cultural Marxist got drunk, saw some Bulgarian soccer fans, who have a reputation for being Right Wing, and said somehting like, "These guys are fascists!" and then went to start a fight. Twenty-some years is not enough for this Marxist!
@TomDavid88 Lol Marxist? Oh yeah so on a whim one guy goes up to a dozen ruffians and starts a brawl. That's really likely. You must be an absolute idiot. Anyway it's completely irrelevant, so long as there's reasonable doubt, which there is, both in his testimony, and in the fact that the Bulgarian authorities have tampered with the evidence. He ought to be acquitted. Now do fuck off and go back to "stringing up them niggers, frying them communists" with your dear friend Mr Sarah Palin
Sofia Echo, 25th Nov. Two more witnesses in Jock Palfreeman case confirm fight with a Roma
Two witnesses, both police officers, testified that when they arrived at the scene they were informed by other officers, as well as members of the gang themselves, that there had been a fight that preceded Palfeeman's intervention.
Another policeman also appeared to back the defence's explanation that Palfreeman had only intervened after witnessing a beating of a Roma.
A Bulgarian appeals court last night confirmed there were discrepancies in evidence that helped to convict Australian Jock Palfreeman of a 2007 murder.
Krassimir Kanev head of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee:
"To conclude that this was a premeditated murder rather than excessive self defence means the police and prosecutors and judges disregarded the evidence that there had been an attack on some Roma."
@girlsinnappies Go and change your nappy, probably it’s as dirty as your mouth. From a person with your mental development I wouldn’t expect to have been reading at all, but there is a famous Bulgarian writer called Ivan Vazov. So, already in the beginning of the last century this writer was using in his books (things which literate people read) the word ’Merci’ as a synonym of ‘Blagodarja’.

i am sorry to say that but i am bulgarian and know my land and i do know the mentality of british young man specially when they are in a foreign country , as i have lived for over 30 years in germany i can tell a lot of storys from english ppl behaving like hooligans, i don t want to talk against jock but what the hell he has thought to himself to take a knife with him someone who takes a weapon will use it therefore there is agression in him otherwise he wouldn t take a knife with him

I've said what I wanted to say in Part 1 & 2. To sum up - to all the fucks who think that they can go into another country and do whatever they want, better listen here - you CAN'T. You will go to prison.
@trixwiz7 He killed a man. Somebody's son is dead. On the other hand he has no scratch on him. Where the fck do you live mate? I don't know about you but I'd rather have all those people who go out and just stab somebody locked in prison... Ive lived most of my adult life in the UK (currently in London) and I know how anglo people think - "Oh yeah, we're gonna go there and get smashed! THere's no rules there. etc etc". I'd like to see him fry...too bad there's no corporal punishment in Bulgaria
@trixwiz7 If this happened in Australia it'll be open and shut case with him doing life in prison, you know that. Another thing thats strange is that problems like that always seem to arise with british or aussie citizens who work 9-5 for 8 quid an hour and come to bulgaria thinking they are somebody and they've got power. I work in the banking industry in the UK and at the age of 21 I make more money than 40-50 year old professionals. Do I treat them like junk? Not even once have I done that...
@kotapaka Who cares how much money you make, quit boasting. You're being reactionary, the law mustn't be, it's all about evidence and reasoning. Fact is this, if he killed the guy in self defence he should be acquitted/charged w/ having a knife. If there's reasonable doubt suggesting this, he must be acquitted. There's reasonable doubt IN SPADES! And in Aus he'd have been acquitted. A Yank who almost certainly murdered his wife only got manslaughter in Aus because of REASONABLE DOUBT
@kotapaka Also not that it's in any way relevant how wealthy Jock Pallfreyman is or isn't. People are good or bad, regardless of income or background. You're completely wrong anyway. Jock went to one of the best, most expensive schools in Australia, the Eton of Australia. He lives in a very wealthy suburb and his father's an extremely successful doctor in Australia, not Bulgaria. So in any case he's probably a lot wealthier than you. But that's irrelevant anyway
@trixwiz7 its funny how you don't realize that you are the nationalist snob. You don't just walk over to some people who are arguing and start stabbing people which ultimately results in the death of a young guy. Maybe his parents spoiled him with money too much and he thought he's untouchable. In the UK you'd have really hard time proving it was self defense trust me. Also it doesn't matter what the UK law is - he killed a person in Bulgaria...
@kotapaka You're a snob because you don't stop gassing on about how much money you make compared to other people. Being rich doesn't stop you from being a dickhead, I know plenty of rich people who are nice and plenty who are dickheads, you fall into the latter category. And you're nationalist because you only care because it was a Bulgarian who died, albeit he seems to have been a right tosser. And I'm not nationalist, I just support a just cause, but I'm the first to condemn Australians
@kotapaka As someone who is both British & Australian, I can tell you, if the circumstances were the same, in the UK/Aus he'd have been acquitted on self-defence. I don't trust you, you don't understand Common Law, there need only be reasonable doubt suggesting he killed the guy in self-defence and that qualifies. And there's buckets of doubt. I'm not nationalist, if Palfreyman were American, Chinese, Chilean, I'd be saying the same thing, innocent. I heard about this cause it's big news in Aus
@trixwiz7 Man I only spend a couple of weeks in Bulgaria each year but you cant believe how safe it is compared to other places. Yes, there is violence but you really have to do something stupid to get involved into it. Also they say there was a football game going on. I don't watch football but whenever there is a game they close the streets around the stadium and deploy thousands of police (and I think part of the army) to keep things safe.
@trixwiz7 What he did was a crime - he walked over to some guys who were arguing and pulled out a knife (to show how big of a man he is) and the guys turned to him. Daaa, you put an unknown man with a drawn out knife next to me I would, too direct my attention to him. Now who's acting in self defense? Also do you think that if those bulgarians couldn't harm him if they wanted to? Unlike you, we wouldn't take someones life like that...just for the fun of it. That's all from me...
@kotapaka I'm not laying into Bulgarians, that the accused is Australian is irrelevant to me. Do you agree with this, if Jock saw a gang beating up a gypsy (possible gypsy might die) and he went over and intervened, they then turned on him, he feared for his life, so he pulled a knife (which he shouldn't have) and in the ruckus stabbed gang member, that amounts to self-defence? Because it does, and IF that's what happened he should be acquitted. Your version of the story's completely different
@trixwiz7 im sorry mate but you dont seem to be getting that you dont just walk over to people who you dont know and who are arguing/fighting. He could have called the police to deal with the issue but you can't just go over there and take out a knife. I don't know what the law in AUS is but in the UK it's an offense to carry an open blade and as far as I know this is the case in BG too. Again, in Sofia you usually wont get into trouble unless you go looking for one which is what he did...
@kotapaka The law in Australia's identical to that of the UK in this case and in most cases, Australian law is derived entirely from UK Common Law, until recently Australians could appeal to the Privy Council. The fact you don't know that demonstrates you know little about the law in the UK. And as I've said, I've lived in the UK and am British. It's illegal to carry a knife in both countries. But if the situation is as I described, he should only be charged w/ carrying a knife. Thats UK/Aus Law
@trixwiz7 LOOOOL Do I have to give a shit about Australian law and how does not knowing australian law mean that I don't know UK law? Are you a retard (don't answer - it's a rhetorical question but you probably don't even know what this means - go and google it yeah...). As you said there isn't much to know about astralian law because it's a copy of the UK law... self-defeat you stooge. Also google past cases of knife crime in the UK and you'll see that you have no clue what you're yaking about.
@trixwiz7 So you're British and you went to Australia? The only british people who go to Australia are lower class individuals who have poor education but in australia they can work in the tourist industry or on the beach instead of cleaning toilets in an office building or sweeping the streets under the rain. .And why do these people have poor education?Cause when someone smarter and more knowledgeable tries to explain something to them they just can't understand it...as we can observe here.
@trixwiz7 I wouldn't be surprised if he took the knife with him when he went out of his house with the sole intention of having a fight and pulling it out. Now, I don't think he wanted to kill anyone but when you pull out a weapon thats what usually happens...that's why carrying a knife is prohibited in most European countries...
ElenaFUCK - just remove that BULG after your name, you are a shame, Bulgaria is not just a country and you are too stupid to get it, it's because of Bulgaria that whole Europe is NOT muslim, but you do not know history, you do not read, you do not get that every country is like that, no exceptions-none, you think UK is different :) hah
Do you even have idea how many Bulgarian lads were prosecuted for things not done, but no movies about them, and no justice either. So F UK and F Australia
@DSetekh actually it was mainly russia that got rid of the ottoman, but yes bulgaria and romania did help. i live in Australia and there all a bunch of idiots, i dont have any australian friends. people carry knives here because we have a big drug problem in australia and it is always dangerous.

People you have no idea what country you are dealing with! Bulgaria is the most corrupt country that has ever existed and that will ever exist....trust me I know I was born there...I feel sorry for this poor guy gone to jail I doubt hes coming out....So glad I dont live in that God forgotten country anymore!
Bulgaria is in EU, which means the EU has inspected and adapted the jurisdiction system of Bulgaria before to say OK for BG to join EU. You may complain in higher place in EU, which should be the best juridical system. So you are saying European Union does not know what is doing? Dumb idea!
What would be different if that happened in USA or Australia, where the economy is better and immigrants go? If that story on the movie is truth: A man is beaten by group of people, somebody goes to defend him and kills with a knife one of the group. Do you think the jurisdiction system of Australia will justify him? I did not go to Sofia with a knife!
For sure I`ll find more materials on this case as here I see only chatter, but not facts... What I`m really missing in this movie is the reaction and the behavior of the other Brithish mates!? They left their guy to handle 25 persons :) even British army would call that stupid, andt not glorious act :)
For the movie... That wide angle is really too much for me, otherwise editing, lightning and the directors work are not bad

and just look at him he is not the saint they make him out to be he is the typical chav in Uk going around at night geting drunk and looking for trouble if this guy gets off then yes bulgarian system does fail and we should all go abroad stab people and say it was self defence enough said i hope he gets what he deserves even thought nothing will brind the dead kid back :(
yeah right carry a knife for protection wtf?do we all have to carry one in bulgaria then and just stab eachother he could have just walked away instead he decided to be a man and pull out a weapon in on a fist fight
he had he knife cause the place there is fucking dangerous and after all 20 people beating u to death , i'd pull a bazuka in his case grow the fuck up u ethnofuck
in which judicial system u see the fucking judge cry?? the case is already decided
the place there isn't fucking dangerous its as normal as any capital of any country lots of people different character if he minded his own business instead of trying to be the hero none of this would have happened and i do hope the case is decided no one should get a way with killing enought said he should be locked up it wasn't self defence it was a bloody murder
did u see the judge cry? coz i didnt! and jsut like the 60% of this piece of crap is false i can rly figure out how true are the other 40%
doesnt matter what country... if you stab some one you go to prison! its not self defense when you carrying a cold blooded wepon and you stab some one in the back! here is the facts! the country is not worse than any other major city in any country AU/US/EU what this fails to tell is that this jock guy is punk! i want to know: does jock take drugs?
carry a knife and pull it out, then you either kill or get killed. No mercy, no matter what. Even though many things suck about Bulgaria, for instance corruption and so on. People in general are nice!.
the judicial system in BG sucks, but really it is not a common thing to bring a cold weapon in your pocket while you are walking with your friends ...in Sofia. I do not know the details about this case, I just thing is not right to take someones life ...just like that , to kill in self defense unarmed person?????
I do think that bringing a knife for self defense is stupid idea, but I'm sure it's common thing, even in Bulgaria. And in Britain, it's the rule for most people, especially young ones.
there has been so many lies in the media about this case, jock was 1%bac andrey 3%bac and anton 2%bac, also the forensic reports say he was stabbed from the front, all neutral witnesses confirm jock's version of events, and at the memorial for andrei people actually attacked the journalists
who are those neutral witnesses? And would you deny the fact that Mr. Palfreeman was the only one with a combat knife on that day and also the only one who actually used it...? Would you?
It's a shame to watch this video, showing our judicial system failing again. Even though I can't say who is right in this case, it's easy to see how poorly trained our judges are. This is a real problem in Bulgaria, with even cases that seem "simple" to solve being postponed for really long time. And the problem is, the verdicts are often ridiculous.
Other cases like the "Martin Borilski trial" shows the other problem - corrupt and dishonest people deciding the unthinkable.
I would agree with you but how would all problems of the justice system change the reality of that particular night and the fact that a man died because of the actions of another man who carried a knife with him in the streets of Sofia?
you are right in what you say about our system but i can t stand those drunken british hools any more running through the world and making trouble where ever they are in germany we don t like them in spain they don t like them and i could tell a view other places where they are not welcome any longer they behave like shit , think of this you go to visit someone what would you take with you some wine to share or a knife to kill, this is BG and here you don t act that way or pay the price thats it
dude wtf... hi kill man... HE IS FOR THE PRISON !

In my country (Hungary) there's also corruption in judicial system.
But the difference is that in Bulgaria the police is involved in crime, they are the part of the maffia. It's a shame.
Go to Sunny Beach there are some gipsy thieves stealing money from tourists. Police do nothing, they even support them!
Who is the major there?!! Why do your elect him? why??
In my country it would be impossible.

Just an example: There's a big difference between poverty and corruption.
Poverty depends on (world/local) economic situation, minerals, geopolitics etc.
It's not so simple to fight against poverty, but you have to fight against corruption in hospitals, police corruption etc, everywhere!
I was very happy when i heared that the most important thing in the election campaign was the corruption and maffia.
I agree with you: arrogance and criticism is not the best solution.

Also it doesn't matter what the UK law is - he killed a person in Bulgaria...
kotapaka 6 months ago
@kotapaka You're a snob because you don't stop gassing on about how much money you make compared to other people. Being rich doesn't stop you from being a dickhead, I know plenty of rich people who are nice and plenty who are dickheads, you fall into the latter category. And you're nationalist because you only care because it was a Bulgarian who died, albeit he seems to have been a right tosser. And I'm not nationalist, I just support a just cause, but I'm the first to condemn Australians
trixwiz7 6 months ago
@kotapaka As someone who is both British & Australian, I can tell you, if the circumstances were the same, in the UK/Aus he'd have been acquitted on self-defence. I don't trust you, you don't understand Common Law, there need only be reasonable doubt suggesting he killed the guy in self-defence and that qualifies. And there's buckets of doubt. I'm not nationalist, if Palfreyman were American, Chinese, Chilean, I'd be saying the same thing, innocent. I heard about this cause it's big news in Aus
trixwiz7 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 Man I only spend a couple of weeks in Bulgaria each year but you cant believe how safe it is compared to other places. Yes, there is violence but you really have to do something stupid to get involved into it. Also they say there was a football game going on. I don't watch football but whenever there is a game they close the streets around the stadium and deploy thousands of police (and I think part of the army) to keep things safe.
kotapaka 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 What he did was a crime - he walked over to some guys who were arguing and pulled out a knife (to show how big of a man he is) and the guys turned to him. Daaa, you put an unknown man with a drawn out knife next to me I would, too direct my attention to him. Now who's acting in self defense? Also do you think that if those bulgarians couldn't harm him if they wanted to? Unlike you, we wouldn't take someones life like that...just for the fun of it. That's all from me...
kotapaka 6 months ago
@kotapaka I'm not laying into Bulgarians, that the accused is Australian is irrelevant to me. Do you agree with this, if Jock saw a gang beating up a gypsy (possible gypsy might die) and he went over and intervened, they then turned on him, he feared for his life, so he pulled a knife (which he shouldn't have) and in the ruckus stabbed gang member, that amounts to self-defence? Because it does, and IF that's what happened he should be acquitted. Your version of the story's completely different
trixwiz7 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 im sorry mate but you dont seem to be getting that you dont just walk over to people who you dont know and who are arguing/fighting. He could have called the police to deal with the issue but you can't just go over there and take out a knife. I don't know what the law in AUS is but in the UK it's an offense to carry an open blade and as far as I know this is the case in BG too. Again, in Sofia you usually wont get into trouble unless you go looking for one which is what he did...
kotapaka 6 months ago
@kotapaka The law in Australia's identical to that of the UK in this case and in most cases, Australian law is derived entirely from UK Common Law, until recently Australians could appeal to the Privy Council. The fact you don't know that demonstrates you know little about the law in the UK. And as I've said, I've lived in the UK and am British. It's illegal to carry a knife in both countries. But if the situation is as I described, he should only be charged w/ carrying a knife. Thats UK/Aus Law
trixwiz7 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 LOOOOL Do I have to give a shit about Australian law and how does not knowing australian law mean that I don't know UK law? Are you a retard (don't answer - it's a rhetorical question but you probably don't even know what this means - go and google it yeah...). As you said there isn't much to know about astralian law because it's a copy of the UK law... self-defeat you stooge. Also google past cases of knife crime in the UK and you'll see that you have no clue what you're yaking about.
kotapaka 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 So you're British and you went to Australia? The only british people who go to Australia are lower class individuals who have poor education but in australia they can work in the tourist industry or on the beach instead of cleaning toilets in an office building or sweeping the streets under the rain. .And why do these people have poor education?Cause when someone smarter and more knowledgeable tries to explain something to them they just can't understand it...as we can observe here.
kotapaka 6 months ago
@trixwiz7 I wouldn't be surprised if he took the knife with him when he went out of his house with the sole intention of having a fight and pulling it out. Now, I don't think he wanted to kill anyone but when you pull out a weapon thats what usually happens...that's why carrying a knife is prohibited in most European countries...
kotapaka 6 months ago
ElenaFUCK - just remove that BULG after your name, you are a shame, Bulgaria is not just a country and you are too stupid to get it, it's because of Bulgaria that whole Europe is NOT muslim, but you do not know history, you do not read, you do not get that every country is like that, no exceptions-none, you think UK is different :) hah
Do you even have idea how many Bulgarian lads were prosecuted for things not done, but no movies about them, and no justice either. So F UK and F Australia
DSetekh 1 year ago
@DSetekh actually it was mainly russia that got rid of the ottoman, but yes bulgaria and romania did help. i live in Australia and there all a bunch of idiots, i dont have any australian friends. people carry knives here because we have a big drug problem in australia and it is always dangerous.

How can the victims father pressure the court ??? Is he from the mafia or something ??? don' be ridiculous

That wide angle is really too much for me, otherwise editing, lightning and the directors work are not bad

carry a knife and pull it out, then you either kill or get killed. No mercy, no matter what. Even though many things suck about Bulgaria, for instance corruption and so on. People in general are nice!.
Tarikatlar 2 years ago
the judicial system in BG sucks, but really it is not a common thing to bring a cold weapon in your pocket while you are walking with your friends ...in Sofia. I do not know the details about this case, I just thing is not right to take someones life ...just like that , to kill in self defense unarmed person?????
BilyanaB 2 years ago
I do think that bringing a knife for self defense is stupid idea, but I'm sure it's common thing, even in Bulgaria. And in Britain, it's the rule for most people, especially young ones.
ChipTheDale 2 years ago
there has been so many lies in the media about this case, jock was 1%bac andrey 3%bac and anton 2%bac, also the forensic reports say he was stabbed from the front, all neutral witnesses confirm jock's version of events, and at the memorial for andrei people actually attacked the journalists
slav4o451 2 years ago
who are those neutral witnesses? And would you deny the fact that Mr. Palfreeman was the only one with a combat knife on that day and also the only one who actually used it...? Would you?
LCentauri 2 years ago
It's a shame to watch this video, showing our judicial system failing again. Even though I can't say who is right in this case, it's easy to see how poorly trained our judges are. This is a real problem in Bulgaria, with even cases that seem "simple" to solve being postponed for really long time. And the problem is, the verdicts are often ridiculous.
Other cases like the "Martin Borilski trial" shows the other problem - corrupt and dishonest people deciding the unthinkable.
ChipTheDale 2 years ago
@ChipTheDale
I would agree with you but how would all problems of the justice system change the reality of that particular night and the fact that a man died because of the actions of another man who carried a knife with him in the streets of Sofia?
LCentauri 2 years ago
you are right in what you say about our system but i can t stand those drunken british hools any more running through the world and making trouble where ever they are in germany we don t like them in spain they don t like them and i could tell a view other places where they are not welcome any longer they behave like shit , think of this you go to visit someone what would you take with you some wine to share or a knife to kill, this is BG and here you don t act that way or pay the price thats it
