Hi. Thanks very much for your review. I just got mine today and I'm looking for recommendations on batteries. First off, do you know how long you can get off the AA's? Did you end up buying a battery for it? If so which one and how long do you usually get with it?
@5thwalltv I'm using Duracell AA's I've used them on at least 3 shoots that lasted a few hours. By the end of the third I maybe should have switched out the batteries. But I'm thinking of buying some AA rechargeable kind mainly because I hate buying so many batteries. But I like to use the AA because if I'm in a pinch I can get AA's just about anywhere. The main reason I got this light is because I can use my old Sony NP-F batteries which works great. I think it can take Canon one too.
@randallg1973 Just took a look at that light. Looks like a nice buy! Not sure about the step dimmer feature I like the dial on CN-160's BUT I wish they came with barn doors like they YN-160. I know it seems silly to have barn doors on a LED light but at these prices you can buy a lot of them and use them to really mold the light. Barn doors just make that a little bit easier. I'd say it looks like a great buy! If you get it let me know what you think.
@MitchE717wc Sorry for the delay I had to look it up. But I just ordered the lights from Amazon. I believe I bought them from ePhoto just search for CN-160. Sorry Youtube won't let me put a link here. If you go to their site you can see a ton of other LED products they carry. That have a ton options there.

Hey I wonder what you think of the YN-160 light that's available on ebay. That one has the barn doors on it.
